Came here the other weekend for my friends birthday dinner. Really cool and moody throughout the whole restaurant. We ordered the Mama menu set which came with a lot of starters and the main show, the 1M pizza. There were a lot of starters, and the one we enjoyed the most I would say is the caramelised onions, which is kind of crazy considering the amount of starters we had. The deep fried pizza, was on the tougher side, hard to cut and eat. Found the same thing with the garlic bread, which was hard to cut even tho it was already cut when served. As a group we also enjoyed the selection of cold cuts which were pleasant. When it came to our pizzas, those were also hard to divide up since the slices weren’t cut properly, so we struggled to cut them with the knifes we were given, however the flavours of the pizza were really good - we didn’t really get to pick what we wanted, but I guess they just choose which ones to do. After the first round of pizza, we got a second one, and the second one wasn’t as tasteful as the first. The bottom was quite dark and you could really taste the charcoal, burnt flavour which wasn’t enjoyable. Overall the vibes were good, place is cute and aesthetic and it was a good place for big groups like ours. Price wise, I would definitely say it’s ok the expensive side, didn’t think it was worth the pizza but the amount of starters...
Read moreWe went to Antica specifically for their metre-long pizza. When we went to order, the first waiter told us that the dough “wasn’t good” that day and if we bought it, it would be soggy. The metre pizza costs $99, and he suggested we order three regular pizzas instead, saying it was the same amount of food and he’d “do it for $99 as a good deal.” We later worked out that three pizzas would normally cost around $80 — so this is where things felt off.
About 20 minutes later, we noticed a nearby table being served a metre pizza. We thought maybe they had ordered before us. Then another table behind us got one. We asked a different waiter, and they told us the metre pizzas were being reserved for larger tables. That at least made some sense — until we finished eating and saw a table the same size as ours being served one.
When we went to pay, we explained that we’d come specifically for the metre pizza and felt we’d been lied to. Another staff member stepped in, but she couldn’t give a straight answer as to why multiple other tables got the pizza and we didn’t. She didn’t realise the first waiter had already printed the receipt at full price and tried to say they’d given us a discount. Once we pointed it out, she eventually took $30 off.
In the end, we left confused more than anything — and to make it worse, the three pizzas we did get were...

Edit: I came back with reinforcements and we got the meter long pizza. The menu said that it comes with 3 toppings so we decided on fried eggplant, mushrooms and salami. We were expecting the whole pizza to have the 3 toppings but were pleasantly surprised that there were three sections. It was way better to have a variety of different flavors. They also add other toppings to kick it up a notch like fresh basil and extra mozza on the eggplant side. It's a soft/chewy thin crust not a dry cracker like crust. Both styles a fine by me, but I really liked this one. The toe-mah-toe sauce is very flavorful too.
As for the appys, the lamb skewers were a little disappointing because they were miniature. Around half the height of my phone, or the length of my finger ( to give you an idea). Not really worth it IMO. The polenta fries were very good.
Anyways, I will be back again to try some of the other personal sized pizzas and try the pappardelle. I would also like to try the carbonara, and if I have even more reinforcements, the meter long...
