Located at Hindley st and king William St. This is the authentic Indian restaurant with plenty of curries to choose from. In terms of food, curries are good. I have tried Mango Chicken, lamb Rogan Josh, butter chicken, and beef Rogan Josh. Rogan Josh curries have strong flavour of Indian spices. Mango chicken was mild, you can try it if you don't want to eat spicy food. All curries are good. Nothing special. The Only drawback is they serve naan which is already prepared. So I recommend you if you are having naan then ask them to give fresh. Prepared naans becomes hard. Overall, it's a good restaurant with normal food.

City Indian Cuisine is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and flavourful North Indian food. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the delightful aroma of spices. We started with the samosas, which were perfectly crisp and served with minty yogurt chutney. There are many options to choose from, but I couldn’t resist trying all of them. I ended up having rice with three delicious curries. I also have to mention the wholemeal aloo parantha, made on special request, which was simply great. The friendly staff and prompt service made this a great experience. It’s my favorite go-to for Indian food in the city.

If you are starving and need an instant good meal then this place is for you. Just make an order, your dish will be on your table in no time. I have been here for couple of time, on the first visit I had somosa chat which wasn't as per my expectation. I can't still believe they included capsicum and mayonnaise in somosa chat. However in the second visit I had Veg Thali, with rice, Nan and three different curry. Which was good. If you are butter chicken lover you should visit this place since I have seen lots of people ordering it.

This establishment is a faithful, reliable but most importantly delicious diner that also provides the pleasant addition of providing great value. The curries always provide a flavour experience that is thoroughly enjoyable with a moderately decent spice level, that even a white lad like me enjoys, even the vindaloo I enjoy and can handle the so called beast of spice. The only criticism I can provide is the meat quality is at times inconsistent in terms of tenderness, my only recommendation is perhaps longer cooking time and lower heat. Nonetheless I have still had many enjoyable and tender meat experiences. My personal favourites are the Palak Paneer, aloo eggplant and the beef vindaloo. The samosa chat plate is also a dish certainly worthy of being mentioned and appraised. Overall jolly good establishment that I will continue to attend as long as they maintain their cost value and dish quality. Before I leave, it must be mentioned that I wish for them to bring back the goat curry as that was well and truly one of my favourites. Anyways, so long...

I dined in recently and liked the food (small rice and 2 curries-$10). Today I wanted to take away the same and turns out take away portions and prices are different (that’s okay). So the staff suggested to match a small dine in size, go for a medium take away. I even asked the staff if it would be possible to genuinely put the same dine in quantity in any box and I would be happy to pay for it, which they denied. But then shouldn’t the prices be the same if the portion size is the same? Especially since I’m not even eating in the restaurant??? But the take way medium is almost $3 more than the dine in small?? (still 100% smaller than the dine in small - there’s no way the portion of rice given in dine in and probably two non veg curries could fit in) How does this pricing make sense? Complete scam! Please fix this. PS. When did I ever say I want to take the plate away...

The food I got was absolutely terrible… Asked the staff if I could just have the curry separate in another plate. She said a solid NO and went to put 3 curries one on top of the other on rice. The staff acted as if she literally hates what she’s doing and didn’t have the courtesy to be polite and nice… palak paneer tasted absolutely bad… mushroom curry was fairly fine and good. Everything else was pretty bad along with the young lady staff at front. Was my first time trying and will never come back. Bombay express next door has much better food and service. To add more I ordered a veg thali and every other picture here has a thali plate where as I got it in a small white plate with all the curries on top of...
