Thanks Labor government for the free concert to open our fabulous 2023 Adelaide Festival of Arts! The citizens choir (pictured) and the invitation to join it next year was great. The inclusivity and diversity was obvious. But Spinifex Gum, Marliya choir were amazing, truly the most beautiful choir I've ever heard. Such a young group girls and teens accompanied by some of our best writers and performers and wonderful choreography! They must've sung 20 songs (? lost count) accompanied by our fabulous Adelaide SymphonyOrchestra with stunning, big screen background graphics! What a extraordinary performance! Beautifully and powerfully written and composed, sung from the heart - at times highly political and other times playful. The Adelaide audience was treated to a stella performance by these beautiful, energetic, powerful, young aboriginal women's story telling. Psst..find them on Spotify if you can't get to...

Very spacious and centrally located green park in Adelaide. Almost close to everything: festival center, stadium, casino, school, malls and historical landmarks.

Very famous park for where New Year Eve and Adelaide Day fireworks usually held.

Situated right next at the Torrens River. Amusing rainbow light colors of Torrens Bridge is really nice to watchover from this park. As well as the city lights from high rise buildings within the area.

With plenty of amusement and entertainment activities like water paddle boats, cruises and BBQ buoys.

The is a family friendly park, great for outdoor bonding, with nice walking trails. Most of the historic statues and memorial monuments are located at the back side...

Carols by Candlelight. If I knew the majority of content was aggressive Corporate marketing, I would have stayed home. Most of the 'talent' beside the Opera singer on stage were unable to hit the correct note let alone uplift my spirit. Carols are Spiritual/ Religious in nature and are therefore devotional. It was devoid of any devotion. Once again ACC presents a souless experience at the ratepayers expense. The poor production added to the disasterous sound quality. Shannon Knoll cannot sing to save himself from his tawdry reputation. However nothing beats fireworks. After the first display which we liked, my 3 yr old son insisted we go home. And I...

It's just a nice place to relax, you can sit in the little shelter when it rains. If you're lucky, you might even find some wildlife approaching you, its really endearing, the animals are fantastic, believe me. A black goose approached me and let me get real close to it. Really a once in a lifetime experience, though i haven't been to any festivals, i can see that they're really fun. Update: I visited the zAsia festival that was held here, it was a very fun experience. Events are annual are believe. October 24-27th.

Elder park is one of Adelaide's best known and most popular public recreational facilities. The lawned area lies between the Festival Centre, King William St and the River Torrens, on the opposite side of the river to Adelaide Oval. It's the venue for many major public events including New Year"s fireworks, Christmas carols and ethnic festivals. And it has an ornate Victorian era rotunda and a dock where you can catch the Pop Eye sightseeing boat or a much smaller paddle boat.
