Superette Glenelg — Restaurant in Adelaide

Four of us had intended to get coffee here and asked if we could set up one of the outdoor tables as there wasn't enough room inside. The answer was a rather blunt and abrupt 'no, it's going to rain. It's going to rain all day'. We had just spent two hours walking around the area and had not encountered any rain nor did it look likely to in the next half hour or so. We went elsewhere for our coffee

In response to the owner's comment, I don't recall saying he wouldn't serve us. You seemed to miss the bit were I said we'd been walking around the area for two hours. We were looking to sit and enjoy a coffee. We went to a cafe just down the road and it did not rain during that time, just as it had not rained all morning during our walk. You don't want the tables rained on, I get that but there is a polite way to convey that message. I do find it interesting though that you would prefer dry tables over an extra $22 -...

Hands down the best coffee in Glenelg. The team there are super super friendly and always engaging.

If you are just looking for takeaway coffee and/or a croissant this is the place for you. There are three 2-person tables inside and 2 outdoor tables that can cater for more people.

If you are looking for food or breakfast this isn’t the place to go as the awesome team at superette just focus on coffee.

The only reason I have given 4 stars is such a minor thing but I have been in a couple of times where they have run out of oat milk.

As I waited in the doorway of this beautiful Victorian style coffee shop on a gloomy Sunday afternoon waiting for a taxi the owner Joel rocked up to his closed coffee shop for whatever reason .He instantly greeted me and without any hesitation asked if I would like a coffee which I gladly accepted..The coffee was awesome and much appreciated.I suppose the reason for this review is to highlight the kindness of the owner and hopefully somebody will read this and support this little independent coffee shop .Much...
