really wanted to love this place — the staff are friendly, the setting’s pleasant enough, and the menu sounds like a dream for anyone craving something fresh and healthy. But honestly, what I got felt more like a very expensive cup of flavoured ice water than an actual smoothie.

For the price, I expected something creamy, fruity, and satisfying. Instead, it tasted like they’d waved a banana over a blender of ice and hoped for the best. It’s not that it was terrible — just… thin, watery, and gone in about three sips.

At this point, I can’t help feeling I’m mostly paying for ice cubes and wishful thinking. A shame really, because the idea is good — but when your smoothie costs more than lunch and leaves you thirsty, something’s not quite...

Being pregnant has made me hate food and cooking, but Bayblends has been my saving grace. Every weekend I find myself here for their simple Eggs on Toast – it’s affordable, comforting, and somehow always so bloody delicious. It’s become my little ritual, and honestly the one thing I can always rely on to hit the spot.

Their smoothies are all amazing too – fresh, tasty, and a perfect pick-me-up when I can’t stomach much else.

The café itself is small, quaint, and welcoming – exactly the kind of hidden gem every neighbourhood needs. Friendly vibes, simple good quality food that is always consistent, and great value.

I stopped by this café and tried their iced chai, which was enjoyable. It was served in a takeaway cup despite my request for dine-in.

I also ordered their dumplings. While the chili sauce was a bit tangy for my liking, the dough could have been more silky as the top of most of the dumplings were dry and open.

One thing I noticed was that some customers were smoking outside at their tables, which was a bit surprising given the regulations. It would be great to see a more welcoming environment in that regard.
