Booked apartment for river-fire and was told all 3 bed apartments overlook the story bridge. I also requested to overlook the bridge. We were allocated a room with no view at all. I rang and asked if there was another room and they said as I checked in late at 4pm that I couldn’t change rooms. They also advised that there was a change of ownership and they couldn’t accommodate my request. Rooms old and so many poor repairs. Even the furniture was deteriorated and had it. Lamp shades flaking everywhere. One of the single beds had ants in it. Shower made screaming noise. Was not cleaned properly. Alerted staff to kitchen sink that was leaking badly under sink and their reply was “it always leaks”. The cabinets were swollen, mouldly and damaged. New owners also spoke their home language in-front of English speaking guests. On the night of river-fire, another guest abused children in the reception area, involving police to attend. The apartments really need security on these bigger nights. Was it worth the money- no. Would I re-book- no. Recommend to others- no. I have never written a bad review before for any accomodation, but I need to warn others about this place. Don’t waste your money. It’s feral, in desperate need of repairs and renovations. Knives and forks filthy. I wish I had paid the extra for somewhere better as I left with Covid. Not...
Read moreAbsolutely DISGUSTING customer service. On arrival I was spoken to so rudely, no instruction on how to get to the carpark and the level for the lift to get to the room. Just pure no care factor. We got to the room at 2pm. Getting ready for a concert and all of a sudden 2 random men open our room and we realised it's a shared 2 living space. One side was A and one side was B. On arrival all doors were open so we presumed obviously opening the door everything was ours for the night. No INSTRUCTION was given and we were not told on arrival or when booking the hotel that 2 random strangers would have a key for the same door. No care factor, no empathy or consideration. The manager and one of the workers both just stared at us and had no remorse and could not see the problem, we were told all rooms were like that it's like shared uni accommodation by one worker then the manager said ours was the only one shared in the building. Oh I'll also add they were hiding behind the shutter not wanting to come out at the reception when we had called to speak to someone, then the manager said oh I'm not here but yeah I'm here. He apologies for the doors been open but nothing else. Was hesitant about a refund. Absolutely disgusted will never return here and I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt they were rude looking at...
Read moreWe booked a 4 night stay some months ago in the neighbouring accommodation - Bridgewater Terraces. Unbeknownst to us, Bridgewater Apartments has now taken over the management of the Terraces as well, so they just moved us into the high riser, a completely different property, without informing us. We had no choice but to check in on the day of arrival. I voiced my disappointment and the lack of communication but was told we were upgraded from a 2 to a 3 bedroom unit. And what an upgrade it was... We were greeted by a terrible fish cooking smell. The kitchen was dirty, crockery and cutlery grimy, rubbish in the draws. Bathrooms and shower recesses are very tired looking. Mould, silicon peeling, not clean. Internet didnt work, got fixed` but kept dropping out due to 2 dodgy cables that ran 2 meters across our kitchen bench along the sink! Doorknobs falling off, blinds broken, some matresses on their last leg. And the list goes on. We were on the 5th floor, great views but 24 hour noise pollution from the bridge. We communicated all this to the managment which agreed to look into it. Nothing...
