Burger Urge (Kelvin Grove) — Restaurant in Brisbane City

So far the worst sweet potato fries i ever have had in years. I opened the box and was greeted with a burned and stale sweet potato fries. And it taste similar to a charcoal. Looked worse than the cheapest fries you can buy from Aldi. The fries are just plain rank. And it’s NOT homemade as well . They are bought in bulk frozen. You can tell by the texture and shape. The taste was of pure charcoal. If you cant even be bothered to make your own sweet potato fries then you should just close down. I couldnt even finish it and the staff wasn’t even friendly , he treated me like he was buying and making the sweet potato fries for me. If you don’t know how to make sweet potato fries , you need to fire that person ASAP.I’m pretty sure that he was front staff and kitchen staff.

If negative stars was an option i would given this a -2 out of 10.

This place is consistently bad, I've ate here 5 times in 3 weeks and 3 of those times I've received the wrong order or have been made to wait for near 30 minutes for my food.

If you get the burgers warm they're eh at best, they're very overpriced for small pretty bland burgers, they are not big by any stretch though.

The service is reliably terrible, they expect you to listen to the kitchen for your order instead of just bringing it to you like any other restaurant, they have no problem leading good sitting on the counter waiting, and the venue is terrible, every seat is uncomfortable, it's loud and echoey, it's weirdly laid out.

I like a burger even if it's eh, so I'll tolerate a lot before not going to a place but this place has blown through that tolerance quickly.

We’ve tried to eat it here 4 times and every time staff was rude or just absent. Visited this place 40min-2hrs before closing time and they always have excuses: someone is sick, “sorry our kitchen is closing 40min before official closing time”, “we can’t cook it right now”. One time had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the counter only to hear “kitchen is closed”, it was 1 hour before they close. Another time kitchen staff made fun of me because I couldn’t figure out which bag is my order (there was no notes so I had to ask).

I don’t understand what’s going on with staff here, seems like they abuse the system and don’t work their full hours. I was always polite, but their attitude made me so uncomfortable. I’ve heard that the owner is nice, and I’m sure the problem is tired/lazy staff.
