Golden Lava Toast — Restaurant in Brisbane City

DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I have been here twice before and gotten a strawberry matcha which were both great however I was in utter shock today when I ordered a strawberry matcha and received this sludge. I thought surely they made the wrong drink for me and was very willing for them to just remake it and be on my way. They then gaslighted me saying the ones I got before must not be from this store and it’s always made this way. I showed them a picture online of how it’s usually made (normal strawberry matcha with matcha being a liquid consistency). They still proceeded to tell me nup I didn’t get it from their store and that’s it’s always made with this yuck thick sludge and even asked for a picture of the ones I had had before from their store as ‘proof’. I mean I don’t take pictures of every drink I get. I was in utter disbelief at this disgusting customer service and having to pay $8.80 for this sludge which doesn’t mix at all with the milk. I even said it tastes nothing like what I ordered before and they still palmed me off. I have never in my life been gaslit like this...

I know, it's not a sandwich, and maybe I am being foolish trying to compare it to one. But when it's bread surrounding filling, I'm sorry, that's a sandwich in my book.

The individual flavours of my chicken toast were great! But, that's what they were, individual. The spicy sauce was only on top, like a garnish. The top of the sandwich (savoury ice-cream, really) then comprised of the great chicken. But, it was then just omelet and then as I got to the bottom it was about 1-2cm worth of just toasted toast. Which don't get me wrong, I love toast. It's what drew me here.

But I can't help feeling like, the distribution of goods in the meal could be done better to provide a fulling experience across the whole item, rather than just individual bursts of yum. But I guess, you could also argue, that that's the good part about it? So many good separate features,...

have ordered twice from uber eats now! very delicious bread, the flavouring in the ingredients is also really yummy. branding and design also super cute. the only reason i’m giving it 4 rather than 5 stars is because i tried the iced matcha latte and it was way too milky. i also removed the egg from my sandwich after finding there was too much egg from the order before, replacing it with avocado instead. i was really disappointed to receive the sandwich with very little ingredients without any egg, despite paying close to $20 for it (uber eats prices but still). my only recommendation is to fill the sandwich up more to make the cost worthwhile as it seems like egg takes up most of the sandwich when producing omelettes is so low costing for...
