The comfortable seating drew me in, the chairs or seating are gorgeous, as part of the hotel I suppose that is as should be expected, nonetheless I love comfortable seating
I should have just walked dow the thoroughfare with Two Donkeys Cafe on the corner and entered through the Amora Hotel lobby going to the right and around past the elevator lobby
The food was good, I had a really good breakfast from an 'all you can eat buffet', what let them down was the coffee - for me 2 out of 10
I would have paid more or separately for decent coffee, which is important. Good coffee is very important. A new barrista bar should be added
The food available was an opulent layout with immense variety, you were literally spoiled for choice, delicious food of every kind. Anyone could find something wonderful for breakfast at this place
It was divine
It was crowded and very popular but because the layout was spacious, you were not elbow to elbow, thank goodness
The acoustics in the area and the design aesthics were perfect for me, the ambiance was impeccable
People there were famous and well healed which matters little to me personaly, but the are certainly a la- de-dar lot - despite that people were friendly and courteous
You can take family here and be assured that breakfast will be good, I saw no babies or youngsters there, it is a venue more suited to grown-ups
I really liked it
A few more staff would have been a good addition
Customers or clients had to wait for cutlery
And you really must be better with the coffee of course
The disabled have easy access from the main street through the walkway, it is all on the flat...

My partner and I visited, wanting to try somewhere new and we weren’t disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with cheery and welcoming customer service and taken to our table. The menu was simple and yet had many options for different preferences and a special mention to catering well to gluten free.
We had the pork belly as an entree and we regretted getting just one, as it was truely delicious and would happily have a larger serve as a main. We then had steaks for main, cooked true medium with nicely seasoned steak fries as a side.
We finished with the panacotta and the figs and it was a lovely way to end the meal.
We cannot speak highly enough of the staff and especially the waitress Laura, who has to be one of the cheeriest hard working waitresses we have met and really helped make our experience special.
The manager was excellent and took great care to get feedback after our meal and you could tell he genuinely cared about providing a great customer experience.
Would absolutely recommend and would...
Read moreI spent a week at the Amora and ate at DAPL often. First off breakfast. You can pay $38 and enjoy a buffet or simply do an a la carte to your desire. I found the buffet to have a large range of choice including meats and pastries. You can order eggs or omelettes as part of your buffet but, as with a la carte orders be prepared to wait a bit. Now for Dinner, there is a chef here and you will realise this once you take your first bite. I had the Salmon, the Pork and the Chicken, each was done delightfully with the right texture crispyness and flavour accompanied by a few vegatables and delicious jus or sauce. My only complaint here is that they should go the extra mile and present a complete meal with a flavoured mash or risotto and veg or salad that completes the meal and combines the flavours. Instead you are left to chose your own additions which....may or may not....diminish the beautiful dish. Although pricey I believe the meal is worth it. Staff are friendly and helpful but again if it is busy you may have a short wait for your meal. My advice is, have a starter...
