Today I purchased a turkey sandwich that was made on 19 May (BB date 22 May) however the bread was already stale.

I have had this exact same sandwich at your St Vincent’s Chermside cafe 3 times and it was outstanding.

Today I also ordered a vanilla slice that obviously has been sitting there a considerable amount of time as it was not fresh and was rubbery on the outside and the pastry was old and chewy.

Yesterday I had the turkey focaccia and it was also not fresh and it was disappointing.

It would be great if this could be reviewed for the food was not of a high standard compared to Chermside.

I did not bother returning the food as there was only one staff member on and a considerably long line of people waiting to order.

I have spent a couple of months transitioning my gran into residential aged care at this hospital. This cafe and its staff have been a godsend. Manager is very helpful, coffee very tasty and the hot lunch buffets are outstanding quality. Sure, the place is a little bit pricey, but very high quality. As a patient, I went in on a Wednesday looking for a coffee and sweet. Struggled to decide between a Vanilla slice or a Danish, but chose a nedium flat white an an apple Danish. Excessively priced at $12.10 and I couldn't bite into the pastry as it was so hard. The apple filling was shrivelled and old looking, needless to say, I did not eat it. The coffee was good.
