I will start with the good. Great location, front desk staff very friendly. The not so good. We have just come back from a two night stay, when we arrived we were given the wrong bedding configuration apartment which was no drama and dealt with no issues. However the apartment we moved into (3 bedroom ) 9th floor is very rundown. The skirting is coming off the walls, the walls are marked and dirty. The handle for opening the window is broken and just sitting on the window sil, the table in kitchen was dirty and really badly scratched. The kitchen cupboards and bench tops weren’t clean. There were dirty socks on the verandah. The couch outside was ripped and quite grotty with a few blankets thrown on it to hide the damage. The single beds were terrible and need replacing big dips in one of them. I don’t think the floor had been vacuumed properly, I moved bed and it was dirty. No batteries in aircon remote. I don’t know who cleans the apartments and does maintenance but they shouldn’t have a job. Certainly not worth $325 a night and not 4 star...
Read moreOverall it was a nice stay. Very big unit, clean and tidy. |There are several things that need attention. |Had a washing machine and airer but no pegs. | |DANGEROUS sink food disposal is NOT sign posted. I was trying to find a light switch and I'd put a couple of knives in the sink. When I turned on a switch that I thought was a light switch, suddenly the garbage disposal started, and the knives were jumping around in the sink, one almost falling into the blades of the disposal.|No instructions on how to use the kettle. After trying several buttons I gave up and boiled water force cuppa in a saucepan on the stove.|The couch was so low and hard to get up out of, especially for older people with bad knees and back, so we had to use the kitchen chairs.|There was a dirty knife that hadn't been washed.|There is no signage where the pool is. We caught the lift to where we thought it was, but when the lift doors opened, there were glass sliding doors leading outdoors but no sign saying This was where the pool was. We had to ring reception...
Read moreMy wife and I are travelling to Brisbane. I am working on a contract while she is completing a course at TAFE. Story Apartments are advertise as 117m2 for a 1 bedroom apartment. So we booked for 70 nights to get us through to Christmas.||We arrived yesterday. The 1 bedroom apartment is much smaller than advertised - we did rough measurements and it might have been 70m2 at an absolute push. Just to give an idea - the bedroom was so small there was only room for 1 bedside table.||WIFI did not work. My wife tried to explain how important it was for my work and her studies - the manager told her to stop bothering her as it wasn't her responsibility and to buy a sim card from Telstra.||WIFI still didn't work this morning and emails asking to be assigned to the larger apartment we had reserved were ignored. My wife rang and received a torrent of abuse from the manager. We have left and are now trying to get a refund.||I would suggest that people are very cautious about staying...
