This is a well thought out playground. There is so much shad from the palm trees and fig trees. The playground equipment kept my 11 year old entertained for over an hour. It can get quite busy, but with six different areas to play in finding something to do was easy. If you are staying in Brisbane with young children for a few days, I'd suggest you leave a few hours half a day to walk around in the Botanical gardens and a play session here at the playground.

This could be classified as a destination playground. Situated at the Alice Street end of the gardens, next to Bunya Walk and the popular pedestrian/ bike route. Wide range of children's play equipment, in a shady, green forest setting. Seating and tables with toilet facilities near by in the Rotunda.

Always a lovely place to come & chill. Relax with a stroll by the river or seat in the rainforest areas. There's places for everyone. Kids have lots of play areas & you can picnic on the grassy well kept lawns with your pooch in tow. You may even see the occasional friendly lizard napping in the sun

An absolutely beautiful botanical gardens to visit or relax or picnic in. Safe and well policed. We have never had a bad experience there. There are botanical gardens in other capital cities, that I won't name as the situation may have improved, that were lacking in surveillance and police presence and as a result we found ourselves being accosted by druggies and witnessed vandalism and drunken louts misbehaving and disrupting others. On one occasion, at a well known Brisbane Park, we had to leave due to the presence of drunken hoodlums who were urinating in empty beer cans and hurling them...

This kids' playground is a fantastic place for little ones to burn off energy! The variety of equipment, from slides to climbing structures, keeps children engaged and entertained for hours. The layout is safe and spacious, allowing parents to relax while keeping an eye on their kids. Plus, the shaded picnic areas are perfect for snack breaks. A wonderful spot for...
