DO NOT COME HERE! We had booked for dinner and 2 hours of karaoke afterwards at this restaurant, and we were informed by the restaurant that we need to preorder our food by 4:30 for our 5:30 booking, so we preordered and arrived for dinner. At first things were okay, and one our dishes plus rice were served, we also noticed that it was quite hot and asked the staff to turn on the air conditioning. We then waited for a WHOLE HOUR only to have no more dishes come out, we had to share one plate of green beans and rice between 15 of us for a whole hour! During this time we had already begun to sweat, the temperature still had not changed. We asked the staff how much longer we must wait till our dishes were served, and the staff replied saying that âwe cannot tell you how long until your dishes come out because we only have 1 chef.âThis made absolutely no sense. How can you run an entire restaurant with only one chef cooking? And even if you had 1 chef, an estimated time till the food came out can still be answered! The staff then told me to wait and would come back with an answer, we waited but they never gave an answer. Finally when the food came out, we went back to ask about the air conditioning, only for them to fiddle with the thermostat and tell us that if we wanted air conditioning while we ate, we had to go inside the karaoke room, outrageous, we had already asked about the temperature as soon as we arrived and only now they tell us that we need to move, unbelievable. They then gave us some small bowls of fruit and an extra 15 minutes of karaoke to make up for all the problems they had caused. I repeat, some small bowls of fruit and 15 MINUTES of karaoke! We had booked for 2 hours! And they only gave us an EIGHTH of our time for free. How is then even enough to make up for even a fraction of the issues they had caused. As a former hospitality worker, I understand that being understaffed is stressful and hard to manage, but if we are expected to preorder an hour earlier before our booking, at least have the manners tell your customers that their food may come out late before they wait a whole HOUR for their food! Why even ask the customers to pre order their food if you arenât going to prepare it in time. Donât even bother coming here, the food is mediocre, your time, money and sanity will...
Read moreMojo Karaoke Bar is hands down one of the top KTV spots in Brisbane! A friend of mine suggested we check it out for a small gathering, and wowâwhat a vibe! The place is tucked next to KFC on Mains Road in Sunnybank, so super easy to find. Walking in, it already felt lively and welcoming.
First off, the private rooms are a total game changer. Seriously, these arenât your average karaoke booths. Spacious, clean, and with just the right lighting to set the moodânot too bright or dim. Perfect for groups! đ€ The sound system? Chefâs kiss. Every note feels like youâre performing for a concert audience (even if youâre off-key like me đ).
Now, letâs talk about the song selection. Unlimited songs, and I mean unlimited! From old-school classics to trending hits, theyâve got it all. Got that niche song youâve been dying to belt out? Chances are, itâs in their library. My friends and I were jumping between pop, rock, and even some guilty pleasures from the early 2000s.
And oh my goodnessâthe food and drinks! You wouldnât expect much from a karaoke bar, but Mojo delivers more than just fun tunes. Their menu has legit options for everyone. We ordered a few snacks and cocktails, and everything was fresh and tasted amazing. Itâs not just about the singing here; theyâve really nailed the dining experience too.
Overall, this spot is perfect for birthdays, hangouts, or even just a random night out when you want something different. The service was friendly and quick too, which is always a plus in my book. Highly recommend checking out Mojo Karaoke Bar if youâre in Brisbaneâitâs got all the makings of...
Read moreVisited this KTV spot in Sunnybank with my friends last weekend, and wow, what a great time! đ The rooms are super comfyâspacious and private, perfect for our group to chill and sing without worrying about anyone overhearing. Plus, the sound system was solid, and the mics worked perfectly (no weird glitches or awkward moments, thank goodness). Oh, and the TV screen was crystal clear, which made following the lyrics a breeze. đ€đ¶
The biggest highlight? Their unlimited song selectionâliterally everything we could think of, from old-school classics to the latest hits. You name it, theyâve got it. Made our karaoke session so much fun since everyone got their turn to belt out their favorites.
And the foodâŠchefâs kiss. Seriously, donât sleep on the snacks here! We ordered a mix of goodiesâsalted crispy chicken, fried squid tentacles (so crunchy and flavorful), and even some fried lotus roots that were surprisingly addictive. The secret wings? Definitely worth a try. Oh, and we had some fries and seasoned edamame on the side too. Perfect munchies while singing our hearts out. đđ€đ
Drinks were decent as wellânothing crazy fancy but exactly what youâd want for a casual hangout night. Whether youâre there to vibe with friends or just enjoy good tunes and food, this spot delivers on all fronts.
Definitely recommend if you're in Brisbane and looking for a fun night out with great rooms, unlimited songs, food & drinks to keep you fueled for...
