They refused to offer the key to let my children go to the locked public toilet near the place. Citing it was lost. One can literally can see the toilet door from their counter. Instead, they made me drag my kids and myself down the road to various other restaurant chains to see if I could get an extra key. Which in itself is rather irritating. No other restaurant offered the toilet key as they were worried it would get stolen/lost.
Upon getting back to nandos, as irritated as I was I offered solutions. I queried if they could call security to let the kids in. I asked for the staff key or to be let in to the toilets by the staff so the kids could go to the toilet. I pointed out that we had in fact ordered food and were dining in. We hadn’t yet been served and that I would be back with the key.
I was greeted by apathetic Abigail (manager). Who confided in me that staff were ‘only had their toilet breaks at the end of the shift’. I thought she was taking the piss. Which is not what I meant when I said I wanted to use the restroom facilities. And sure as hell doesn’t explain how they get in after their shifts unless they had a key.
My poor daughter sensing my irritation started to tell me she would just hold it. Which she had to until after dinner and we got home. Wonderful job Nandos. You really know how to help people when in need. Way to go thinking...
Read moreI am writing this review about the really poor service I received today at Nandos Toowong. The order that I placed for dine in service , I found was noted as takeaway when my name was called out with the food in the paper bag. I had to go up to the kitchen counter to advise them that it was a dine in order . It’s a simple procedure of putting the food on the plate which took an extra 10 minutes. There was no medium spicy sauce available and when I asked the staff member who took another 10 minutes to come back out advised they’ve run out of the sauce. The initial staff member that took my order was a new employee and as It was only her second shift which is fair enough I asked to speak to the manager . The Manager on shift , came up to talk with me, his body language , facial expressions and eye rolls was unapologetic ,rude and shrugged his shoulders as if to say as if to say ….she’s a new staff member , so sad too bad ! I would also like to add that the piece of chicken that was served was so dry and unpalatable I would not feed that to my pet! Really disappointed by today’s service where all the staff members instead of focusing on Customer satisfaction ( given the additional 15% public holiday surcharge) were too busy laughing and giving each other high-fives rather than focusing on looking after...

However, very bad customer service tonight.. firstly, we were waiting in the line to order for dine in, and as we finally come to the Counter, they lead us to the table, which is great, but then we have to go on the line again to order our food. Having to line up twice, didn't make sense to me, and whole lining process took 10-15 minutes.. We ordered 2 veg burgers, a chicken and super large chips for 4 people. Our burgers come 30 minutes later, they apologized for the delay.. that was ok, however, the burgers were already almost cold as they were sitting at the counter for too long... The waiter said there will be few minutes late for the chicken... 15 minutes later, after my son and husband already finished their burgers, my other son and my meals, the chicken, still not arrived. My husband asked, they promised another 5 minutes. Finally, our chicken arrived for me and my other son to eat... 15 minutes later, I asked where our chips, and finally they gave us our chips... Wow, a very very long waiting time... plus, it seems as they won't give us the food that we ordered until we asked for it.. Won't go...
