Terrible experience we had last night with a unfair situation created by the own manager of the club, as she was screaming to everyone.
An unprofessional lady with zero manners that acted all the time like a “teenager clubber” instead of having a business posture.
My friends bought a VIP space and when we looked to the couch she was sitting there with a girl a friend. We didn’t know she was the club’s staff and we called the waiter to check them. The waiter came, talked to her and irritated she directed herself to leave the space.
However she pretended that our friend bumped on her and called the security stating she was assaulted. It was unbelievable situation because everyone witnessed that nothing happened. She created the whole thing to have a reason to remove my friend from the party. A Lie!
The security came saying that he couldn’t do anything because she was her boss.
I appreciate the boundary NewZealanders have with their own people, but it was clear that we were dealing with a group of friends there and not a club staff.
We tried to talk with the lady, but she was nasty, holding the situation as girl, screaming and being so authoritarian. All she said “I am the manager”.
This lady was with a group of friends, drinking and didn’t appear she was working at all. At the end of night, my friends left, all the drinks already paid were left on the table. To prove herself , she got back to the same space that she was asked to leave before and were drinking with a bunch of friends. Our jackets that were over the couch disappeared and the nasty girl answered “fuck don’t know”. We lucky found the jackets with the receptionist.
Look how the owners leave a management under supervision of such unpleasant and unprofessional person that couldn’t handle a situation that she created with a lie? Why she didn’t introduce herself as manager? What she was doing sitting on the VIP space of the customers with a bunch of friends? How the securities act like that and state they do what they teenager boss order. Because she as acting as teenager. It appears she got offended being asked to leave the space in front the group of friends. My friend left the party so upset because she literally done nothing only asked to leave the place. I’d suggest checking the cameras and review the situation. My advice don’t let your business in such unprepared and...
Read moreFood was really nice, not very traditional Japanese but tasty. The menu is quite confusing and it sometimes took asking the staff up to 3 times to get anything explained or stuff like plates and cutlery. We wanted to order banquets, the menu states min people 2, we think great no issues we have 5 people. However, turns out it's not minimum 2 it's also maximum 2, you can only order if you have even numbers so one person has to miss out. Fine, whatever, annoying but no big deal. Then we start getting food. Banquet on the menu say it includes: miso, edamame, bao buns, taco, katsu, gyoza, creme brulee. Each person is brought a miso, a bao, a taco, a gyoza and the edamame and katsu are shared plates. Then dessert, 2 creme brulee come, placed on table, server leaves average single serve looks tasty. We wait for the other 2, we wait about 15-20min, in this time the other 2 people eat theirs. We wave over a different server and ask about the others, they say they will go check. They come back and inform us that the 2 creme brulee were actually to share between the 4 people. Everything else was easily split, the miso came in separate bowls, so how were we meant to know the creme brulee didn't? We try to get another for the people that missed out and are told they've sold out, at 8pm on a Saturday, we were 1 of 5 tables there from 6:30pm to 8. The whole thing just caused a lot of confusion and took away from...
Read moreThis is an interesting place. When we first spotted it from down the road, we weren't sure if it was a restaurant... mostly because of the entrance and lighting. However, it is a restaurant until 9pm, then becomes a nightclub. It got quite full by 7 pm, which was great to see.
The staff were excellent and very friendly and attentive.
The food is not bad, but there is nothing to write home about. The cauliflower and tofu dishes were our favourite out of everything.
They have a nice wine list.
Maybe we ordered poorly and should go back again and try something else. Or, if you are looking to share snack food or are coming for drinks and want a snack, I can see how this menu could work.
For us, the dumpling meat was dry, almost like they had cooked the meatball, then put it in the wrapper, then cooked the whole dumpling as people ordered.
The karaage pieces were small and not as good as others out there.
The pork in the bao was a bit dry, in my opinion. Looked like something you'd use for pulled pork.
Overall, ok, but I guess we are a bit picky, and it may be our poor...
