Food:- very disappointing, not as expected based on the menu description. Wagyu rump grade 8-9 had a thick layer of fat on the outside, no marbling at all and was as tough as old boots. I would say it looked like a piece of Woollies steak but Woollies steak is much more tender to be honest. My partner had the whole Barramundi, the flesh was overcooked, salty and chalky, pretty sure it had been frozen, not fresh. The person opposite me left half of their pork chop so obviously that wasn't great either. I really feel ripped-off for my friend who was paying for the table of 9 for his 60th birthday. Service:- we waited for 15 min for the waitress who asked what we were having but we hadn't been provided with any food or drinks menus at that point. The meals arrived well over 1 hour (~1hr 20 min) after ordering. I took my complaint to the head waiter Isaac who, to be fair, listened to what I had to say about the food in particular and said he would 'pass it up the line' (thank you Isaac). I asked if there was something he could do in the way of desserts for my friend's 60th birthday. Two nice desserts were provided (hence the 2 stars) and small pieces were shared around the table. No discount was offered nor requested. Overall a completely disappointing experience and not good value for money. It's such a shame as we had such a wonderful dining experience there 5-6 years ago, great steaks, and why we booked this birthday party at the POH. Read moreFirstly, I am writing this review as I am waiting for our bill. Sadly, it’s not good. I have never received service so appalling as what we received this evening. On arrival, we waited for at least 5 minutes as the staff continually walked past as we waited at the front counter. Eventually we were welcomed by the manager, who made us feel guilty as he had to clear his paper work off a booth table for us to be seated. Sorry for any inconvenience. Secondly, we waited another 20 minutes as there were not any wait staff allocated to our table, however after receiving a young fellows attention, he was very complimentary with his service, for 20 minutes. Our entrees arrived in a timely manner, tasted okay and the oysters were above average. Then our mains were delivered by a different waiter. Delivered with no sides and no salt and pepper offered. When I asked for salt and pepper, the waiter (looked like Freddy Mercury) said he would deliver it immediately. Like the sides, nothing turned up, no waiter to be seen. I actually went to the waiter station and got the salt and pepper myself, but wasn’t game to get the sides from the kitchen delivery bench myself. However, I soon learnt I should have. both the steaks were pretty nice!! they also gave me their mushroom sauce with my eye fillet and oooo, so good! definitely get their mushroom sauce with their steaks🔥🤩they also give a massive side of chips along with the steaks which no one can say no to! 👀✨🤣
🍝✨the linguine marinara was quite nice, had a ton of flavour and the pasta was cooked perfectly yay!🤤🥳i really liked their arancini balls, crisp outer layer with a hot aromatic filling!🤩✨the scallops tasted fine, but the only downside was the small size of them🥹🤧
