the new year’s eve event here was a disaster. we had booked for a large group each paid $95. when we got there they didn’t have enough seats for everyone and the table size was way too small to fit all of us. We were extremely disappointed as 2 of my friends had to speak to 2 different employees asking for more chairs. both of them said “this is a standing event”. no one else in the ENTIRE venue was standing, everyone at every single table besides ours were sitting comfortably in a chair at their table. my friend told the staff it did not state this on the booking and then they finally gave us the chairs we needed and gave us unnecessary attitude. it was after this that we had only been served 2 different canapés and we had been there for 2 hours. it was absolutely disgraceful, we watched the staff walk around serving other tables food, not even looking at our table, completely ignoring us and going back to their kitchen with food on the canapé serving plate. we had to ask one of the staff if we could please have food as we haven’t been getting any. it was then after this we were being served food while other tables were being offered the same food multiple times. got our fish and chips around 11:20pm and by that time we were fed up. the bar staff were rude as well, attitude when we asked for cocktails as if it’s not their job to make them… it was super disappointing to receive this type of customer service but not too surprising as we received similar service at a birthday event held here last year. i don’t believe this venue should allow table bookings for 10+ if this is how they are going to run their night. overall my friends and i won’t be returning to this venue, $95 each (overall paid over $1500 total) to get 1 cocktail and basically a snack of food. next time we will just be spending that extra money at another venue if it means we will be treated the same as...

Abusive, intimidating and disrespectful staff. Overpriced food and drinks if you’re lucky to even get it. We were seated right next to the bar. Had reminded the staff twice about not receiving my drink. After waiting half an hour and everyone at my table having finished their own drink and food, I noticed my drink sitting at the bar. Waited five minutes and watching a wait staff glance at the receipt and decide to take another drink across the other side of the bar. Having waited long enough, and as a young woman being concerned about my drink sitting there unattended with other patrons standing around it I went and grabbed it. I checked the receipt and confirmed it was mine before taking it.

When I sat down, the security guy literally tried to wrestle my drink out of my hand, putting his dirty fingers all around the rim. The bar tender came over and started yelling at me. I told them that the receipt showed it was my drink and I had waited so long for it. They responded that they knew it was my drink - then why are you trying to take it off me? I told them my concern about wait time and they just laughed at me and told me that that’s just how things are and that I can’t just go and grab my own drink. Utter rubbish I’ve been to many bars and restaurants in Brisbane and have never received such slow and disrespectful service.

We had kids sitting at the table and were there for a birthday. To have two fully grown men stand over me, trying to intimidate and belittle me is just sickening.

Complained to management and no apology given. They had the audacity to complain about my partner’s tone, despite him being calm and much more respectful than the treatment they were giving us.

As to the food, it’s just a glorified pub. I recommend going elsewhere such as Massimo or Ola. You will receive quality food and staff who actually appreciate...

Appalling breakfast service. Long wait, a mistake on my food order, and I had to follow up twice on my coffee. Staff give 0 cares, I wish I could give 0 stars.

Not busy. Sunday morning 08:45am. We were a party of 4, I ordered on the QR code and the others ordered at the bar a few minutes later. The app said 15min wait. Their coffees and food arrived, and my breakfast burger arrived a few minutes after. I asked at the time about my coffee which hadn’t arrived and was told it was coming. I looked at the burger, and opened it, to see there was no egg. Checked the menu. Went to the bar to let them know. The person asked what table I was on, and by then the waiter was right beside me and said “Oh, I was just there. Number 7.” The person said they’d go get my egg, and I mentioned I was still waiting for coffee. The waiter said “yes, I’ve done that.” And waved vaguely at my table. I returned to the table, and there was no coffee. The same burger was returned to me, with an egg, and I asked about the coffee. “I thought you said you’d delivered my coffee?” “No. I checked the order. It’s coming soon.” Everyone else finished, and I ate slowly waiting for my coffee. Halfway through, I went back to the bar to ask. By now it was 45min since I placed the order. “Sorry, the queue is backed up.” “Okay. But I ordered 45min ago, and my breakfast is cold now. There was a mistake on my breakfast order too, so I’ve come back twice now.”

Eventually my coffee arrived, not the coffee I ordered. If you want people to order by QR code (and pay a service fee!!) you need to deliver their order. Saying “so sorry” without empathy...

beautiful location by the river but unfortunately half the price you pay is for the location as the food is sadly not up to high standards nor is it worth its price we ordered the angus steak medium rare $35, gamberetto pizza $23 and linguni for drinks we ordered the wham bam jam, Blue Steel Spritz and Wild Rosé Spritz drinks were pretty and overall quite nice, within a reasonable price range for cocktails which is good food on the other hand was disappointing to say the least pizza was soft and soggy, wasn’t even hot when it came out, prawns were fresh but overall taste and texture wise definitely was not worth its pricey amount angus steak we requested for medium rare, meat was tough to cut, filled with tendons was extremely chewy and a workout for all our jaws, our medium rare turned out to be close to medium/close to rare, photos are shown and no one would agree that it is medium rare, definitely definitely not worth $35, you can get such better steak elsewhere for much cheaper also their salad is a half uncut cos lettuce linguni was from their kids menu and was the best out of the three surprisingly and shockingly, our advice is if you want to get your money worth and get good food order from the kids menu overall quite disappointing, might go again just for the drinks but the food was just not worth their high prices staff were pretty friendly and nice, service is medium speed here

Great location - right by the river, open air seating, not too noisy but vibrant with chatter. Ordering is different - scan QR code to get digital menu, select drinks and food and place order. It's one and done though. If you want to add on, it's a separate order. i.e. Adding dessert or more drinks means you pay again and get a separate receipt. If you are with a guest, your order and their order are separate. This is good if you are each paying your own, but if you're treating a guest or client, you may want to ask how to do a group order before you place your order. Also, no one comes by after you're seated. You order via the app, pay and they bring you your order. Strange as the app asks you if you want to tip before you've even experienced any service. Being from Canada, it's ingrained in me to offer a tip, but really, not sure if I would have considering how little interaction there was with any wait staff (i.e. no one came by asking if we wanted water, if we needed assistance with the app, etc.). Overall, I think the view and the ambiance of the evening made the night very nice. Food was good too - I forgot to take a picture before I ate, but you will see with the one remaining slice of pizza, it was good. There are a lot of other restaurant options along the same stretch of boardwalk so you get the same experience but perhaps better service.
