This little dumpling spot has that nostalgic, old-school charm—like a place that’s been quietly serving locals for years. It’s small and unpretentious, with a cosy, no-frills atmosphere that feels a bit like stepping into someone’s family kitchen. The prices are incredibly affordable, which only adds to the feeling of being looked after, much like a visit to a relative’s home.

The dumplings themselves are satisfying enough, but as someone familiar with a range of Asian flavours, I found them a touch on the mild side. It’s not that they were bad—far from it—but they didn’t quite reach the kind of depth or richness that would make you go out of your way to visit. That said, for a quick snack or a light meal when hunger suddenly hits, it’s a very handy spot.

It’s the kind of place locals might pop into on a lunch break or after a walk, and while it might not be a destination restaurant, it certainly holds its own with a certain comforting familiarity. If you’re after a budget-friendly bite that’s quick and fuss-free, this little dumpling joint...

Cheap? Yes! Disappointed, see picture and you will understand. The pork bun was the ultimate disappointment. Do you see that meat ball sitting there so lonely and away from the skin. I found a solid naked meatball inside some fluffy pastry! Heck I bet it would have bounces off the floor. The chicken dumpling was bland and not good texture. Veggie dumpling was ok. The pork and chics gyoza was the best but too much msg or salt. Shumai was ... It wasn't shumai, dont worry about getting it. This was such a promising little store, like a homemade feel but unfortunately a nightmare. They seem to cater to workers lunch clientele that don't have much option and therefore don't care for quality as much. Just looking...

Run by Dim and Sum they offer a few dumpling options ; pork, chives and ginger or chicken, donggu mushroom and Chinese spice.  As well as a vegan option in the form of the "Zen dumpling" comprising of shitake mushrooms, seasoned tofu, Chinese cabbage and carrot. But the real hero is the Pork Cloud which is made from pork, ginger with a shallot centre. So light and fluffy! The condiments on hand are a mixture of soy, vinegar and sesame oil or "Chinese Vegemite" which is a wicked little mix of chili oil and roasted black bean. So good! Prices are 6 dumplings for $8, 8 for $10 or on Tuesdays and Thursdays $1 each. The pork clouds are $3 each or you can grab a pack of 6 dumplings and a pork...

A little disappointing. Maybe I expected super dumplings like the homemade ones I had in China or tea house xiao long bao (soup dumplings). They are definitely hand-made, so they are fresh, but I found them bland esp the veggie ones. The soy sauce was watery and only helped a bit I prefer vinegar like they use in the south of China it's a family business and It seems they are from the north, maybe Harbin in Dongbei where they eat to keep warm. The thick plastic on the tables was so Chinese. It's OK, the price is right, esp Tues and Thurs and the pork ones are the best. Maybe they should add a premium dumpling at a higher price plus put vinegar and chilli sauce on the table.
