I ordered the Chirashi Sushi and it had zero pictures next to it.
Did not realise this was a rice bowl full of raw fish as they don't say its sashimi fish and yes it's my ignorance that I didn't know what the dish was persay but perhaps claim it is sashimi fish like most Japanese restaurants.
Yes, there was nothing wrong with the dish, I literally said this and explained honestly that this was totally not what I was expecting as on the menu they just list ingredients of what's in it (WITHOUT SAYING SASHIMI) I hadn't even touched the food and brought it back within 30 seconds. And generally Chirashi sushi doesn't consist of Sashimi.
Went to ask if I get something else and was refused and zero refund or food offered.
Great way to celebrate my birthday for the place I chose out and travelled halfway across Brisbane to visit.
Also I love that you speak in Japanese when I asked for something different so I can't understand what you're saying.
And the passive aggresive thank yous I got when I left and your staff laughing? Actually disgusting.
Never had such rude service from a Japanese resturant, always found Japanese places to have the most friendly and lovely staff, not this place. Myself and friends are going to do our best to share the word with how utterly rudely I was treated.
Avoid at all costs if you're not aware of what a dish is and don't want to get mocked for it.
Happy birthday...
Read morePositives: the staff are able to quickly and efficiently take orders, ring up service, and serve food in a pleasant manner even with the large crowds. Easily accessible, street parking usually available. Clean and cosy, and a low price to boot. So it is good if you are looking for a bit of grub with your mates. Negatives: But... if you like sushi, Japanese food or noodles, I would not go here. The sushi rice was completely bland, not seasoned at all, or just too little. I like innovative cuisine, but the rolls they made with generic cheese broiled on top were really not enjoyable at all for me or my friend. Stay away. Other dishes were just kind of one-note. Chashu roll was plain, just salty pork with rice and seaweed. Broth for the noodle soup just tasted only like diluted soy sauce somehow. I did not try any sashimi or raw items, so no comment on that, though the entire place looked very clean and orderly, so perhaps it could be very good. Just adjust your expectations if you go here, and enjoy the cosy, sprightly atmosphere, cheap, quick and cheerful service/food and...

In my first visit, I was insulted by a lady staff in Japanese verbal because I took roughly 10 minutes to choose one from the menu. (Actually, I even don't know why she was being) After done my order, she, looks like the owner definitely said in Japanese, 'get his order quickly I don't want to wee this man in front of my eye'. The atmosphere and the other staff's face was getting stoned and I was just shocked, but didn't want to make a mood aggressively, took an order pack, and chuck it in the bin. Nobody knows whether she may spitted in the pack or not. But I though that I've heard something wrong, probably my Japanese skill is getting dimmed out, I am being overreacting, ok it's all my fault, this is not happening, that's ok, that's ok... before one of my friends who use to work in the shop spoke to me about her behaviour. Well, I've never tasted their food before and don't believe it's good and wouldn't like to know how it is. Sorry about that but just can not believe that thing...
