The Mix Bar — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I can’t rave enough about The Mix Bar in Woolloongabba! This was my second time booking an event here—last time for my cousin’s 50th and now for my son’s 21st. And let me tell you, every time it’s been nothing short of amazing!

First off, the venue itself is just perfect! Heritage listed , it’s the old Woollongabba post office .  It has such a great vibe, beautiful space, and everything flows seamlessly. But what really sets this place apart is the team!

A HUGE shout-out to Mick, the Functions Coordinator extraordinaire. He’s always so friendly, professional, and just an all-around fantastic human. Mick really goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, and you can tell he genuinely cares about making your event special.

Also, I’ve got to give a big shout-out to JD, the Duty Manager for the night, who kept everything running smoothly and made sure we were all taken care of. Jaques, one of our awesome bartenders, kept the drinks flowing and the energy high, and Ella, who followed up with me beforehand, made sure every little detail was on point.

Honestly, I need another reason to host an event here ASAP because we always have the best time! If you're looking for a venue that nails everything—great atmosphere, incredible service, and a team that genuinely cares—The Mix Bar is the place to be. Thank you again for making both of my events...

I'd never planned a big party at a venue before, but Mick and the rest of the team were incredibly warm, patient and helpful! I booked the Heritage Room- it's an easily accessible, large and comfortable event space. There's plenty of furniture, and the antiques mounted on walls and in corners and huge old photo of the Gabba are great unique touches/possible talking points if your guests aren't well acquainted yet! The bar staff were so sweet and accommodating throughout, my stress melted away and I could fully enjoy my evening- it went off without a hitch! The Mix Bar's partnered catering company, Connections Catering, is also fantastic. They can deliver straight to the venue, have a wide range of popular/easy to eat platter types, and are very quick to respond to emails in my experience. Allergies can be tricky to navigate when it comes to party food, but Connections made sure all the platters I ordered would be safe for ALL my guests to enjoy! The Mix Bar also allows self catering, with some fridge space available for items you'd like to bring yourself. I opted for a mix of both, and everything came together perfectly! I can't recommend The Mix Bar...

Now offering fresh wood fired pizza!! From the moment you step inside The Mix Bar, you're greeted by the warm, inviting ambiance that sets the stage for a culinary adventure! IL MESCOLRE THE MIX PIZZERIA offers incredible house made wood fired pizza. Each pizza is crafted with incredibly fresh produce, sourced locally, which makes a noticeable difference in flavor. The crust is perfection-crispy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. Toppings are abundant and bursting with taste. Whether you opt for a classic Margherita or one of their unique specialty pizzas, each bite is a celebration of authentic Italian flavors. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable, eager to recommend pairings from their impressive wine list. It's clear that they take pride in every aspect of the dining experience. If you're looking for a slice of Italy that feels both traditional and fresh, The Mix Pizzeria is a must-visit. A Woolloongabba gem. Five stars...
