Well-tended parkland adjacent to the walkway along the Brisbane River, at the entrance to the Goodwill Bridge. It remembers those soldiers from South Brisbane who served and died in WWI. There is a bronze statue of a sailor with his kitbag, waving goodbye to family and friends as he sails off to the other side of the world.

Wow! I have been here a couple of times over the years but it was a first time for my kids! I love visiting war memorials!.. its just a reminder of who thought for us and why! Reminds you to take a breathe and appreciate all that we have.. its a nice walking path surrounding the parklands too❤

A small but tranquil memorial park. There's stairs or a ramp access, with a gun emplacement at the top. Several memorial plaques on the statue in the middle of the main steps. A quiet and pleasant walk adjacent to the Southbank area.

Great walkways alongside Brisbane's waterfront, including cycleways. Includes a park for children to play at, as well as a large public swimming area. Several restrooms along the way should you require it. Quite a few fast food businesses, if you need a snack, as well as some more top market food suppliers. Super close by to many nice restaurants, all varying in cuisine. Markets are held nearby. Various Brisbane events are held nearby at times. Also if you're a Pokemon Go player, this exact point is also an Ex-Raid eligible gym, so be sure to hit it up for a raid or few :3 I might just see you there (DaddyLongLegz88 or my other identity...

Beautiful quiet park adjacent to Ship Inn. The Memorial Park has steps for training, by running up and down stairs. Numerous joggers, even the high schoolers, State High, St Lawrence and Somerville House utilise these steps for some hard core training.

A beautiful little park that hundreds of people pass every hour but few stop to enjoy the shady breezes or learn a little of the history of the memorials and surrounding buildings.
