Modo Mio Restaurant Italian cuisine
As part of our honeymoon plan, my husband and I wanted to treat ourselves to a dinner with Italian food. And I confess that I was very resistant because I have many dietary restrictions such as lactose, cheese and shellfish. And the basis of Italian cuisine is basically this. But I accepted the invitation and we went to Modo Mio – Italian cuisine. When we mentioned my dietary restrictions, the attendant promptly listened to me and looked for the best dish options for me, for people with dietary restrictions and allergies. She presented us with the options they had, and another attendant came and confirmed the dietary restrictions I had and the dishes chosen. He left a card on the table that said “Food allergy advice” with more information. They also noticed my Brazilian accent and asked me if I wanted assistance in Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese. And I said yes. So, bartender William came, who had the task of going over all the information already made available by the other attendants and making sure that he had understood and that I was at peace with my dish choices. He made himself available if I needed it. He was very helpful and attentive.
Restaurant strengths The service. the service team is very attentive and efficient; the dish options/there are foods for people with dietary restrictions. From the starter, main course, drinks and dessert.

Read moreI am absolutely disgusted by the way the manager of this restaurant treated me and my partner. From the moment we walked in we we’re told to move seats we were placed in by a waitress at the restaurant by the manager. Without a fuss me and my partner moved seats and ordered our meals which one consisted of a 105$ steak which he didn’t even eat a quarter of bc it was tough, tasted off and wasn’t cooked the way he asked it to be. We asked to speak to the manager which she then said she could replace the meal with something else on the menu. My partner didn’t want to wait for another meal to come out as myself had already finished my meal and he didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes for another dish to come out. We asked if it could be taken off the bill or at least half of it as he didn’t touch his plate. The manager very rude and unprofessional about it. It was almost like she was arguing with me about the situation in-front of the rest of the restaurant. It was extremely embarrassing. I was not happy that I was FORCED to pay 105$ for a steak my partner did not eat !!!! I am truely appalled by the lack of respect we were given. She then states that the chef and her both looked at the steak and cut thru it and it “looked fine”. I feel sick I had to pay for something my partner barley even touched and by the handling of the situation by the manager. I honestly was considering of checking out of the hotel Because of how rudely I was treated. I am frustrated as she could give me a whole other meal for free but couldn’t take the steak off the bill. It’s honestly just beyond me. If their is anyone higher I can speak to about this situation...
Read moreDecor looks like it is straight from a single mum’s ‘dream home’ pinterest from 2004. Complete with silver metallic walls, over the top ornate white candles and wait staff who look like they are wearing the ‘hospitality’ costumes from Netflix’s Snow Piercer. This decor combined with the ‘no windows’ bunker style theme in the restaurant and you have to walk past various drunk youths outside the McDonalds and Subway which neighbour the restaurant, the first impression is not great.
Despite the off-putting interior of the restaurant, the service was ok however nothing to get too excited about.
