Popped along to watch a match with my son who is 22 but were refused entry. Had travelled over 35 mins in a taxi & had only arrived in Australia for the first time. A drunk was being evicted as we arrived. Place very quiet. Big doorman accused my son of having a few drinks on him to start with asking ‘how much have you drunk already’ as 4am in morning…he & I hadn’t consumed any alcohol & said so. His ID was not accepted , a UK driving licence…also had a copy passport with us - not many would carry original passport going out in case of losing. We protested politely that he & I hadn’t but we’re not allowed in. Would not recommend. Got a local taxi back & driver commented that we had had a lucky escape as not a place...
Read moreIt was a terrible night. The sports bar was packed to capacity with limited room to move around. The entrance to the sports bar should have been closed once it reached its maximum safe crowd control capacity. At the end of the soccer game there was glass shattered all over the floors...and the floors were wet and slippery. It was definitely an hazard. Crown management should definitely make some changes to make this a safe and enjoyable place for all patrons. Disappointed...don't think we will visit this place again..and will never recommend this place to...
Read moreWhile I have had some of my best moments watching sports at this venue their handling of events post covid has been abysmal. Holding a sporting event with limited numbers and expecting patrons to hold their bladders for the entirety of the game for fear of not being let back in is unacceptable. I know of elderly couples that were split up without mobile phones and security simply responded with "you'll just have to cue like everyone else" without any consideration. Either get a stamp/wristband system or build some friggin toilets in the sports bar. I...
