My wife and I went to the Atrium buffet last week on a weekday, which was our fifth or sixth time at the Crown buffet, and we noticed that the Atrium is improving every time we go there. This time, we went there on a weekday, which we did not expect to be so busy. It seems like the buffet is popular on weekdays as well, even though the menu is slightly less varied than on weekends or dinner time.

The quality of the creamy risotto was extraordinary. It was rich, creamy, and perfectly cooked. The nachos with melted cheese, guacamole, tomato onion, etc. were also delicious and satisfying. The vegetarian sushi was top class, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The sweet bun and vegetable momos were excellent as well, with subtle and delicate tastes.

The sushi corner was awesome, with a variety of sushi rolls and sashimi to choose from, served with soy sauce and wasabi. All the rice varieties were very well done, fluffy and flavorful.

The English corner had English pudding with jus, gravy, mushroom gravy, etc. The roasted carrots were tender and sweet, and the cheese corner had several cheese options, including succulent blue cheese.

Each corner had a variety of condiments provided and they all tasted fresh and tasty, particularly the Thai green chili sauce and the Indian garlic chutney. They added some spice and zest to the dishes. The laksa corner looked awesome too, but it had prawn paste so I could not taste it.

The dessert corner was a world in itself, with so many tempting options to try. One of the cakes looked and tasted like a Swedish Princess cake that we get in Miss Maud's. I mixed the caramel pudding and apple crumble and it was so juicy and sweet that my sugar level went through the roof. The rum & raisins ice cream was at a different level, creamy and boozy. Rocky road and a couple of other cakes like carrot cake and beetroot cake were just fine, but not as impressive as the others.

The only thing that disappointed me was the fresh cut fruits. They tasted bland and unripe. I wish they had more juicy and sweet fruits varieties. However, this was a minor flaw in an otherwise amazing buffet experience.

Overall, we had a great fun with the food. The waiters were extremely friendly and the staff was awesome. They were attentive, courteous, and efficient. I did not eat meat, but I saw people liked the seafood as much as the pork and beef varieties. The seafood section had oysters, prawns, crabs, mussels, salmon, and more. Of course, parking was free, which was a nice bonus.

I have to appreciate the chef who designed this menu. It was diverse, creative, and appealing to different tastes and preferences.

I would highly recommend the Atrium buffet to anyone who loves food and wants to have a memorable dining experience. It is worth every penny you...

My partner booked us a Friday dinner to celebrate my birthday, hoping to relive the great memories we had from previous visits. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

We arrived to be greeted by a middle-aged woman at the counter, the same one of last visit , she’s okay can’t say being very welcoming. She seated us at a table in the middle of the busy dining room. We ordered drinks and got our first plates of food, but the experience was already off to a disappointing start. The oysters, which I had loved on a previous visit, tasted different as I expected and remembered, and my cocktail was so sweet it was nearly undrinkable. There weren’t many appealing options, but since we don’t eat much, we didn’t mind too much.

The atmosphere was chaotic, with a big table nearby celebrating a birthday and several other loud groups around us. After finishing our first plates, we went back for more. I picked up some fresh salmon, some other seafood and Asian dishes that reminded me of childhood meals. When we returned to our table, the dirty plates were still there, leaving us with little room. We had to rearrange them ourselves just to make space for our new food. Eventually, a staff member came to clear them, but only after cleaning other tables nearby first.

Feeling overwhelmed by the noise, we requested to move to a quieter spot as we didn’t want to shout at each other, and were relocated to a table in a corner near the bar. We moved on to dessert after finishing our food, desserts were delicious.

However, what happened next completely ruined the evening. While we were sitting in the corner, I overheard two servers behind the bar, just 1.5 meters away from us, commenting every this of us: our appearance, the food on our plates, even my outfit and makeup. Their comments were sarcastic, judgmental, and discriminating, clearly and meant for us to hear. I’ve never experienced anything like this before, It was shocking, I felt very uncomfortable and confused at the same time.

After we finished dessert, I wanted to leave as quickly as possible. We went to check out, and another staff member, a younger woman, served us. She didn’t ask about our dining experience and maintained a cold face. At this point, I was still in shock from what had happened and just wanted to get out. We paid and left immediately, not even bothering to look around as we rushed for the door of the building.

The whole experience felt eerie, like the staff were operating under some strange, unsettling force, as well as the whole place. I left feeling scared and eager to escape, and I have no intention of ever returning to this restaurant. What was supposed to be a special celebration turned into a night I’ll never forget for all the...

Update Nov’23 Pre Christmas EOY celebration lunch with colleagues. The food stations for both got and cold cuisine were the same as before, and equally tasty, fresh and delicious. 1 constructive feedback is that it would be more appropriate to have fresh sashimi grade salmon instead of smoked salmon in the Japanese corner together with nori and sushi rolls. We were in the lower main level & found the ambient temperature quite warm because the sunlight was glaring down during dining through the glass roof. The indoor area facing the pool and next to the noodle station were much much cooler and enjoyable.

Update Jan’23 Lunar New Year Lunch at Atrium on a weekday with their special Chinese New Year menu. The specials include the DIY ‘Lao Hei’ (toss salmon with vege for prosperity), mini crayfish (yuppies), plenty of CNY crackers and snacks in additional to the usual spread. Overall taste is good for Asian cuisine compared to the western hot food this time.

Update Sept’22 Lunched at Atrium on a Monday during FroZen Musical period, and the price was $58 per adult. Service was attentive with plate clearing, and friendly counter staff. Food was fresh and plentiful with the laksa from the noodle station a winner compared to the Tom yum soup last time.

More Tips: Tip 3: remember to validate your parking voucher from the multi-storey carpark when paying to receive complimentary parking ($20) Tip 4: Redeem 25% off from your Entertainment App if you have purchased the current app

Feb’22 We have tried the Atrium Buffet three times between Dec-Feb to experience their variety across Christmas, Lunar New Year and normal menu. We enjoyed the variety of hot and cold, western & eastern, and various sweets choices. The hot noodle station ranges from tom yum noodle, to laksa noodle across the different days. With the costs ranging from $45 to $70 per person for lunch during the last three month, the value for money will depend on when you go. Seafood wise, we found the oysters fresh and tasty enough, and while the salmon sashimi were fresh & tasty, they were quite cut quite wasteful thick per slice as stated by other reviewers. Service wise, it’s a mixed experience as we had services that range from mediocre to fantastic across the three dining days.

Tip 1: for lunchtime dining, it would be better to dine in the upper level because the sunlight can get quite hot and glaring during dining while the sun moves slowly westward because of the glass roof. Tip 2 : Crown offers 10% discount off the bill for your birthday month if you join their free Rewards program, which also include free glass of sparkling wine for each adult, and a box of chocolate for the birthday member. Remember to ask the waiter for the wine and chocolate as some of them may...

January 2024 Update with pictures. Overall dropping it to a four. I was expected to sit where two cushions meet. How does a restaurant set up a chair like that? You have charged me a lot of money for my meal....and seat! Still great food choices but found the baked fish to be tasteless. Anyway check out my photos. Definitely food for everyone! Lots of choice! Be aware it isn't open 24 hours. Bookings highly recommended. Lots of different cuisines to try. We went for dinner before a show. It opened at 5.30 and the line up was long but we got in fairly quick. Payment is when you leave which makes things easier. Chefs keep everything clean and topped up in their areas. The desert bar, especially icecream is monitored so kids don't go nuts. They had a middle east themed food when we went which was nice, but then also there was indian, Chinese, Roasts, Salads, Italian, Japanese etc plus great range for vegetarians. Plenty of opportunity to try new foods you wouldn't normally. For a once every now and then dining option, it was awesome. Entertainment values membership gives you 25% off which brought the price down from 160 to 120 for two people.
