Been here so many times, love this place. Even though you can probably find better food elsewhere there’s just something really nice about Merrywell. They have a large menu with items that range from burgers to steak to nachos etc. it’s almost like pub food but done well. Won’t say that anything really blows my mind here but it is always a safe bet. One of my favourite things to order is always the buffalo wings, very addictive for whatever reason. The chips and sides are actually great as well. Always manage to forget to take photos of the food though, go figure. The venue is huge and can easily accommodate a large group. It’s effectively an upscale bar so the atmosphere is sort of like that depending on whether you like it or not. Parking is very easy on account of the free crown lots everywhere. Service is impersonal but at least the food manages to always come out at a very decent pace. May not be everyone’s cup of tea but as far as tavern/pubs go this is one of my favourite!

We had a nice experience for lunch during the Easter weekend at The Merrywell Perth. Our group of 3 adults and 2 kids found an indoor table immediately after walking in as the waitress said it’s free seating for all, best timing ever. While the queue to order at the counter was quite long, it only took a short while for our turn as they immediately put on 3 staffs to clear the queue when they spotted the queue. We ordered nancho with pulled pork and two kids meals with mini cheeseburgers and chicken tender, and they all arrived surprisingly fast given the crowd. We were most impressed with the staff, as one of the waitperson proactively came to offer to take a group photo for us after spotting us taking a selfie. The nachos were not as crunchy and saucy as we remembered the previous time, and the mini cheeseburger and chicken tender were a little dry for the kids but overall a good experience for a quick relaxing lunch with kids at a family friendly venue with great service

Very disappointed in last night's visit. I was served a pint that was flat, had no head and was almost luke warm. My wife retuned it to the bar and was told that there was nothing wrong with it. I then approached the bar whereupon there was 2 members of staff waiting for me. I was offered a sample from the same font as the pint had been poured. I held this up pointing to the head and bubbles in the sample and the flat liquid that was my pint. These two staff were not prepared to do anything for me and made it clear that this was the case. I told them that I was really disappointed. The beer was not drunk and was subsequently returned to the bar for disposal. I have been buying, selling, pouring and drinking beer for nearly 50 years and have a good palate for the many different types from around the world. I had consumed a pint of the same beer in the casino before going for a feed. It was cold, had a head on it and tasted like it should so, this was no random complaint to gouge free beer from the bar. The pint was still almost full when returned. Very disappointed in the bar staff. At $12 a pint your product must be in top condition and if it is not then I should be entitled to a replacement or refund. By the way, when the food was delivered, mine was awful. The burger was luke warm and the chips were cold, however, I was not game to complain given the way I had already been treated.

Place was absolutely packed on Thursday night. Mind you, it's almost the end of the year so the party goers were absolutely swinging. The mood was of festivity. However vibrant, lively and pleasant the place was, it couldnt lift up its food game. Food was average. Most were bland. The nachos was sweet, the bbq sauce overpowered the whole thing. The cheeseburger was not good. The fish tacos lacked punch. The fish was kind of bland, a bit more salsa would help the flavour. Pork Belly was probably the most decent one, altho still not the best. The cocktail - Whats Kraken - was interesting, an intriguing cocktail with octopus jelly. The cocktail was served in a broken glass (see pic). It could be a safety issue later on. Overall, its an alright place to go. If you are after the atmosphere then this is a place to go with friends. Mind you, you have to order at the food counter and for drinks you have to order separately at the bar. Food came quickly and service was alright.

We had nice beautiful dinner for my daughter's birthday, if you're looking for a venue to celebrate your special occasion The Merrywell probably one of the good option, big space, friendly and very helpful staff (Thank You David - the staff that helping me during my daughter's birthday). The food was also came all at the same time which is this is what I always wanted from a restaurant when it comes to a celebration, so other guest doesn't need to wait too long for their food to come. Really great service and attention to details 😊😊 For the price to be honest I was surprised as it's very affordable 😆😆 when the cashier told me the total amount, I was like did you missed some of my order? Can you checked it again?? LOL 😆😆 The children also enjoy their companion as they can play around near our table, really great night.

Very nice ambience, went early so we were one of the first few in. Prices are to be expected for a Crown restaurant and it was moderate walking distance from the outdoor carpark. Food came all at once which was nice and it was very tasty, ordered the merry steak sanga that i would definitely recommend. Clean toilets and there was a few different sports streaming. However, the service was a bit inconsistent. I did read a few reviews before going and many mentioned the service was bad and the food came cold; which wasn’t too far off from our experience. We tried to call a waiter as 2 of them walked by but they ignored us, one of them even looked straight at us and kept walking. However, they did give us a new plate of food after letting them know it came quite cold despite having eaten half of it already
