Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
My girlfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to a chinese lunch on a day off in Busselton. We had the worst experience in a restaurant that we have ever had. We sat down and waited over 15 minutes for someone to takr our order. This was the start of the terrible service. Being vegetarian, I asked if the spring rolls were vegetarian as it didnt state on the menu. The young waitress said they were but when they arrived, I bit into it and it had bacon in it, not impressed i told the waitress and she even apologise for the mistake or say anything and just removed them from the table! Upon ordering I also asked if the fried rice had meat in it, to which she said it had so I opted for the steamed rice, when our meal came to the table, my meal had the fried rice with meat through it so i had to send it back. The waitress never said a word or even said sorry but simply scraped off the fried rice and replaced it with steamed. We told the manager but she was disinterested and didnt care. The food was also terrible, and my partner (who is a meat eater) couldnt even eat it and described her szecheaun sauce meal as watery gravy rice.

Read moreThe food was really good, large servings, reasonably priced and obviously popular as we got there on opening at 5 pm,by 5.30 it was full. The down side of this restaurant was lack of hygiene practices from young female, and talking to other worker across the room. I saw that she layed the table with cutlery by picking them up not by the handles but the other end, where people put into their mouths. She showed us to our table and gave us glasses for water and she picked them up from the top of the glass. After ordering my partner asked for replacement cutlery, informing her how l had seen how she carried the cutlery. She apologized, and gave us fresh cutlery. I saw how she set up the tables. She had small bucket containers of cutlery, with the handles in the bottom of the bucket which meant that she had to touch every piece of cutlery the fork sprongs, the oval parts of the spoons etc to set out the restaurant. In the aftermath of covid employers should train there staff in hygiene practices as well as it's not chatting time across the room whilst customers are dining. Shame as the food was so good, let down by young...
Read moreThe restaurant was very crowded and we had to wait for a table. The man on the desk who looked after us was very friendly and helpful
I spoke to one of the diners who was a local and she told me that the restaurant is always crowded. The funny thing was that the other chinese restaurant just down the road was almost empty.
The servings of 3 dishes were huge and much too much for 2 adults and 2 children but we had the remainder packed up as take away.
We had a honeyed chicken for the children which was fine although the flavours were fairly simple
The fish with black beans sauce would have been ok except the sauce was very salty
The noodles were good but also too salty for our taste
The proprietor asked us how are meal was and we told her that it was too salty
She was very concerned and said she would talk to the chef about it and they also discounted our bill
Overall the meal was average but they made up for it by a friendly and courteous...
