Ordered wedges to go as I was having lunch with my partner, she was on her break for work and we where going to have a quick lunch together. The wedges took 50 minutes and there not freshly made one's they are FROZEN wedges, when I asked how long I should expect the wedges to take after 30 minutes at that point, I was treated rudely and given a excuse that "Oh we have just being serving a big table." believe it or not I can see that and if you can get lunch prepared for about 10 people prepared in a timely manner then surely doing a simple task such as preparing frozen food. Shouldn't present a challenge it's hardly time consuming you would think but apparently not they hadn't even started making my order of just wedges until I asked about it after 30 minutes apparently unless you're a big table the staff can just ignore you, you're order, take your money and then try to say how dare I complain with the staff giving dirty looks and passive aggressive treatment. Having standards is apparently a terrible thing because I find the fact that it took 30 minutes to get frozen wedges out of a bag and cooked unacceptable. I'm sorry to say that my experience at High 5 Cafe was not a positive one, despite the amazing coffee they serve. While the coffee was exceptional, the serving counter staff member's behavior was unacceptable, and it significantly detracted from the experience.
Despite the quality of the coffee, the serving counter staff member treated me poorly, barely acknowledging my presence and providing no recommendations or assistance when I asked about the different coffee options. Their behavior made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, and it was clear that they had no interest in providing a hospitable atmosphere.
Overall, I cannot recommend High 5 Cafe due to the unacceptable behavior of the serving counter staff member. As soon as I approached the counter, the staff member's grumpy expression and lack of enthusiasm were immediately apparent. Despite the fact that the cafe was relatively empty, they seemed more interested in staring off into space than in providing good customer service. When I asked questions about the different types of coffee they offered, their responses were curt and unhelpful, as if they were annoyed at being bothered.
