Lighthouse Pub — Restaurant in District of Belconnen

Not exactly a gorgeous waterfront but I guess it's a waterfront. Wasn't particularly charmed by the service at the front counter as I actually felt some negative vibes when ordering and that it was a bit of a crime to request for two glasses of water with ice. They also messed up my order so it didn't arrive, so I went up to a mature worker (maybe owner/manager?) at the serving counter to check. Another mature worker joined him and they started discussing the order dockets among themselves without explaining anything to me and just letting me stand there, so I had to prompt them by asking whether everything is OK, to which one of them quite patronisingly said - yeah it's coming. Nice. Anyway, the food did arrive about 5+ minutes later and unfortunately, I can't say it was worth the wait. I had the fish n chips with salad. Fish and chips hadn't been seasoned at all plus the fish was heavily crumbed. Salad dressing was OK though. I went searching for a salt shaker/sachet or an available staff member but none could be found, so I gave up as I was hungry after waiting for so long to receive my dish and had to put up with eating the most bland, flavourless and dry fish n chips I have ever had. I rather have some pre-packaged supermarket crumbed fish and chips for a quarter of the price. Even the tartare sauce lacked salt! By the way, I also tried a slice of tropical pizza. My friend and I were fresh, polite and respectful but the woman at the bar didn’t served us right last night, it was around or between 9 to 10pm.She wasn’t listening to us properly and the funny part was she served the spirits in a long juice glass and didn’t even bother to ask or check the level of coke my friends wanted and she went full on. Also said she can’t do double shots of whiskey for me and instead gave me two glasses with a shot each. There were very few customers otherwise I would understand. I really dont get her intentions but I didn’t want to ruin my night so I ignored her poor behaviour but one or two employees like her can make the environment worse and unhealthy.

I am just giving my honest opinion and review.

chips were not good. I personally do not recommend as it was tasteless and soggy. snitzel was pretty good but with the quality of chips is a must improve. Gravy was too thick and did not taste good. I enjoyed the snitzel and salad mostly. I am pretty sure pizza is good here as everyone were enjoying in my group.

I would love to see more food options related to chicken.

I may visit again to try the pizza but I am big nono to the quality of chips being served with that price.
