Ginger
I recently visited Blue Ginger with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, but our experience left a sour taste in our mouths. As someone who has worked as a restaurant manager for a long time, I was shocked by the unprofessional and unpleasant encounter we had.
We arrived at Blue Ginger to celebrate our friend's birthday and brought a cake along. After being seated at around 8:15, we enjoyed our meal and eagerly anticipated the arrival of the cake. However, to our utter surprise, the waitress abruptly dumped the cake on our table and asked us to leave, claiming it was time for them to close.
This unexpected turn of events was not only unprofessional but also disheartening. It seemed that the restaurant staff had lost interest in providing a good experience for their customers. What made matters worse was the fact that there were still two other tables occupied by diners who were also enjoying their meals.
As a restaurant manager myself, I couldn't believe that such behavior could occur at a reputable establishment like Blue Ginger. It was not only a breach of professional conduct but also a childish excuse to rush us out. Our celebration was abruptly cut short, and we felt disrespected and undervalued as customers.
This experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I can say with certainty that I will never be returning to Blue Ginger. As someone who values good service and customer satisfaction, I cannot endorse a restaurant that treats its patrons in such a manner. The lack of consideration for our special occasion and the dismissive attitude displayed by the waitress were deeply disappointing.
I hope Blue Ginger takes this review as constructive criticism and makes the necessary improvements to ensure that no other customers have to endure such an unpleasant experience. It is crucial for any establishment in the hospitality industry to prioritize professionalism and customer satisfaction above all else.
In conclusion, my visit to Blue Ginger to celebrate a friend's birthday was marred by unprofessionalism, a premature end to our celebration, and an overall negative experience. I will not be returning to this establishment and cannot recommend it to others seeking a pleasant...
Read moreStandard has dropped. Butter chicken was not as tasty as what they used to make. Ordered several other dishes and the portions were small. Overpriced and overrated for the quality you provide. I wasnt able to find any sweet lassi. You claim to be serving authentic food and drinks but you don't even have such a basic Indian drink? You sell all the other fancy lassi like mango lassi, rose lassi but no sweet lassi. Okay. Lol. I'll just walk a little further down to tikka take which is literally just down the same street from you guys lol
I was reading the reviews and one of the reviewers got my attention and I want to address a similar issue : Judith's review "Second mistake was assuming Blu Ginger would care. Left two phone messages which were not returned. Finally got through the next day to be told we shouldn't have used Menulog as they are a poor operator. Asked why Blu Ginger uses a service they don't rate. No answer. Only recourse would be for us to contact Menulog and express our concerns to them. Overall wholly unsatisfactory experience and very disappointed by Blu Ginger's response. Look elsewhere if you want Indian home delivery."
Mine was not a Menulog delivery, but I did order a takeaway. I ordered two curries and two boxes of rice. My house is only two streets down from BluGinger. I thought it would be a good idea as it would mean I get to have a quick warm meal immediately when I get home. When I got home to eat, the food was already cold. It's impossible to cool down within such a short time, I'm sure the food must have been given to me lukewarm. Secondly, the bag was oily. When I checked the boxes, the curry was leaking out because they didn't pack the food carefully. I do agree that Menulog is a very poor operator but my experience wasn't with menulog so I'm pretty sure the fault is partially with...
Read moreEDIT - Reply to the Owner. Sir even I can get people to put in fake ratings as you have posted as Parvesh. I have seen you replying to people with timestamps of the incident. Let's see how honest you are and whether you would deny that bristle. (I have images of it as well) Request you to watch the footage and give a minute by minute detailed description of what happened and how the server reacted (including that impulsive behavior and that rolling up of sleeves). Talk to your manager he will confirm the same (if he speaks the truth). We are not here to tarnish your image and as I said the food was decent however few bites I had. But the service was the worst I have experienced in Australia.
ORIGINAL REVIEW- Worst experience ever in ACT. To start with, an order for 4 took 55 mins to be served. Next there was a plastic thread (which was later confirmed to be bristle of brush) inside the bread. When we questioned about it, instead of changing the bread they started justifying it. And said that this is a once off and doesn't happen always (obviously I understand that) but instead of replacing it as we asked the server started arguing with us and said "I am a certified security official" (like hell that matters here) and rolled up his sleeves and asked us to leave. Couldn't have imagined this at a restaurant. Even the manager tried to stop the server but he kept on going. My learning from this - Never ever visit them again. Never recommend anyone to go here. The manager at this restaurant has no say whatsoever. Eat plastic cause it's rare! Be prepared to be asked to leave.
Not trying to tarnish any image. The food was decent, but I couldn't eat more than a...
