I recently visited Grillin’ at 111 London Cct, Canberra, ACT, and my experience was deeply disappointing, to say the least. Here’s why I rated it so poorly:
Service (1/5): The service here was nothing short of appalling. The staff displayed an extremely rude and disrespectful attitude, and I also experienced clear signs of racist behavior, which was both offensive and deeply uncomfortable. It’s unacceptable for a restaurant to treat its customers in this manner, especially in such a diverse and multicultural society. The staff’s impolite demeanor and lack of professionalism completely overshadowed any chance of enjoying the meal.
Food (1/5): The food at Grillin’ was equally problematic:
• Cleanliness: The food served raised serious concerns about hygiene. It didn’t feel safe to eat, and I could not trust that it was prepared under sanitary conditions. • Taste and Quality: Apart from the lack of cleanliness, the taste was far from what one would expect from a burger joint that boasts a 4.8-star rating. The ingredients didn’t seem fresh, and the overall quality was extremely poor. • Service Speed: To make matters worse, the food took an unusually long time to arrive, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. The long wait, combined with the substandard food, made for an incredibly...
Read moreWe ate here last week, and were very disappointed. I’ve emailed my feedback to the restaurant as requested on other negative reviews, but I’ve had no response. My cheeseburger was probably the worst burger I’ve ever tried to eat. The thin patty was burnt to a blackened crisp, completely dry and black, crunchy and inedible. Even if it was properly cooked, the fact that there is so little meat in the patty (it was maybe 3-4mm thick) would make for a very miserable burger. The waffle fries that came with the kids meals have the same spicy seasoning as the adult fries, which was too much for my kids who don’t like anything with chilli. My partner had the boujee burger, and his patties were cooked nicely, in stark contrast to the cheeseburger, and he enjoyed it. So it seems there’s a real lack of consistency and QC coming from the kitchen. Might be teething issues, but I’m not willing to roll...
Read moreIt was an OK experience. The size of kids burgers and adult burgers was the same...which was a turn off initially. But the adult burgers were well stuffed and the taste of each one was clearly distinct. The loaded fries (forgot to take the pic) were not good as there were very big chunks of boiled chicken on top. (*we separated the jalapenos and hotsauce). I liked their waffle fries, my husband found them extra crunchy.
Also all the neon lights were off which made it dull and there was a spider crawling on the wall (but thats just an Aussie thing :) )
No High Chairs!
Over all its just another average burger joint to be tried...
