Mooseheads Canberra — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

The bouncer with a long beard and long hair (he looks like a Viking/biker, not trying to be rude, it’s a cool look) did not let me in when I was wearing a white singlet. I feel the that this is extremely unfair. A few girls in front of me were let into the club wearing the exact same top. More specifically, my girlfriend let me wear her jacket and she was then let into moose wearing the same tank top and I got let into once I was wearing her jacket. I see this as sexist and discriminatory being a man who was wearing the same clothing as many other females being let into the club. I don’t understand why the fact that maybe my shoulders were exposed was a reason to not let me in when so many other girls are being let in when so much more more of their skin was exposed. I simply just don’t understand. I was let into other bars (for example civic pub, dollys and bootleg) so I’m not sure why I was not let into Mooseheads. Not being let into Mooseheads ruined my night. I hope Mooseheads can let me in next time and not be stupid. I’m sorry for writing such a negative review, I’m just trying to emphasise my disappointment because not being let into Mooseheads ruined my night and I am not satisfied. I was the only Chinese at the door for a while. I know the manager of the store likes to argue with me. When I had a beer and went out for a cigarette, he (Aidan? The Manager refused to let me in on the grounds that I was drunk. When I tried to ask him to step out of the (quieter) bar steps to explain, he repeatedly refused. So I had to explain to him over loud music outside the bar. So he thought I yelled at him. In vain, I queued up again to get into the bar, only to be denied entry because of my repeated attempts at yelling (explaining at the door of a noisy bar) and queuing. Of course, I was excited because it was the first time I had ever encountered this problem. This is not a suspicion of discrimination or teasing. But I want to say that it is powerless to judge people arbitrarily. Because the manager can't give a convincing reason, and I can edit logical text now.
