We recently endured a terrible experience at a restaurant. As a permanent resident of Australia married to an Australian, we frequent this establishment weekly. This week, with my family visiting from abroad, we visited for the second time. Throughout our extensive travels across Europe, North America, and Australia, we have never encountered such disgraceful and disrespectful treatment.
The French waiter who attended to us on 08/12/2024 was not only pointing fingers in our faces and initiating arguments with us, his loyal customers, but also told me to check my attitude after disrespecting my entire family. He left and returned with a feigned apology, only to point at me again and threaten, "Let's work this out outside, you and me, one on one." We have six witnesses to this incident.
Subsequently, words were exchanged, and the situation nearly escalated to physical conflict, but we chose to walk away. The manager then attempted to blame us, claiming my language was foul towards the waiter. As witnesses can attest, I only retorted with an expletive after he smirked and pointed at my face twice, inexplicably told me to check my attitude, and then loudly 'apologized' only to approach and threaten me after.
I intend to report this incident to the police.
To prevent any misrepresentation due to my parents' nationality, who are respectable, affluent, and educated individuals enjoying their visit to the country, we left out of fear and proceeded to settle the bill, demonstrating our true values and morals.
The French waiter even returned to our table afterwards to resume the confrontation, which was absurd.
Firstly, he needs to improve his English proficiency; secondly, he must learn to be polite and not point fingers at customers without cause; thirdly, he threatened a customer with a fight outside the establishment.
As mentioned, we have patronized this restaurant four times in the past month, always treating everyone with kindness, which has been acknowledged by the female waitress. However, today's experience was deeply unpleasant.
With a sincere heart, the only staff member I, Andre, disrespected, was this psychotic waiter who cant even speak the language. and only after being threatened, Still not proud of my chioice of words, I carry no blame because the only person who insisted on confrontations and disrecpeted our whole table multiple times, was the French Waiter.
Take this as a feedback to save your restaurant, not an attack.
Dont worry, we dont plan to come...

Read moreI was having lunch today with my wife after some shopping. We witnessed a waiter having a disagreement with a table, not sure how it was initiated. However, we were shocked when we saw the waiter return and proceed to threaten one of the customers with “we can take this outside and sort it out later”, unsurprisingly this sparked a reaction from the table and a big fight was close to commencing. We were pretty surprised by the approach this waiter took but assumed he would be sent home or put in another area at least to avoid further conflict. But no. This same waiter returned to the same table 2 more times which caused visible discomfort among the restaurant and had people on edge. Why was this waitor allowed to interact with a table where he had physically threatened someone.
We both spent our 20s working in hospitality so we know that things can get hectic and things move fast but this was one of the poorest displays of customer service we have ever witnessed...
