Coco Cubano Pacific Fair — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I can’t rate the food and after our interaction with a staff member from this establishment today there is absolutely no chance that I will ever eat there our support this place in any way. We went to the Patio as a family group today and purchased food from nearby establishments. The patio looks like a food court and one of our party went and took a chair from a nearby vacant table which from experience is quite a common practice in food courts. Nothing was said at the time but just as we were starting to eat a staff member from “coco Cubano” stormed over and demanded that when we are finished our meals that we return the chair. I’m assuming he was the manager or owner because he referred to it as “my restaurant”. I can’t explain how condescending and arrogant his tone was and the absolute contempt that he appeared to have for us. If he had of politely explained the situation that chair would have been immediately returned with a sincere apology. Pacific Fair has signs everywhere about social distancing but that’s pretty hard to do when an arrogant self important hospitality staff member decided to get right in your face when you are trying to eat .... seriously close enough to breathe on our food. I’ve now read the reviews on this establishment and many customers have commented on the rudeness of the staff which I find really easy to believe after...

Horrendous. Was going to give this establishment a higher rating, even after taking our order then advising of running out of holloumi on a Wednesday morning. Spent over $30, no issue, wife wanted some hot sauce, no problem. Went to pick up area, got a little clear cup that was provided and put some tobasco in it. There was this other hot sauce there too, all on display, picked it up and put a little squirt in another clear cup. Then I was verbally abused/scolded by a young skinny male junior kitchen hand. ALL SAUCES ARE $1.50.!!! Hu? Where did that come from? No niceties, no next time, you'll have to pay for sauce, no, it was just a smirk on his face and just Ra Ra!!! This is how you treat your paying customers on a slow Wednesday morning? Of course, I fired straight back saying that treating your customers like this won't get you far, especially after spending over $30 and you stuffing up an order (which happens and there was no issue) , don't worry I said, I won't be coming back. But there is always a reaction to every action and this is feedback that this young man's manager needs to act on and educate before this $1.50 sauce issue costs $1,000 in lost sales from the people who either read this and decide not to go or it happens...

FOOD POISONING!!! My partner and i ate here last week after having visited a few times in the past. We ordered the fish tacos and they were extremely disappointing. Almost immediately we started feeling off and couldn't eat for the rest of the afternoon. 4 hours later we both became so violently ill with food poisoning which lasted for 3 days. I emailed to notify the establishment with no reply nearly a week later, not so much as a sorry. I tried calling several times only to received message bank with no return call. Not only is this the worst service and food I have ever received, it is also the worst response i could have ever imagined after trying to notify them of their MASSIVE mess.
