We had extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant yesterday. We visited on a Sunday afternoon when there were only 2 other occupied tables besides ours. We ordered pani puri and samosa chaat, and the staff informed us it would take 30 minutes to prepare. We agreed, but, the pani puri arrived in approximately 15 minutes. But it was so poorly made, the filling inside was so little amount of potato sitting at the bottom, and the water provided was hardly enough for all the puris. Next came the samosa chaat, which was another shock to us. Instead of being properly smashed and mixed, the samosa was left whole, and was placed on top of the chaat mix. The taste of it was 1/10. Adding to the disappointment, we noticed a pamphlet in the restaurant stating, "Show us your 5-star rating and get a free tea." This felt like an attempt to bribe customers rather than getting genuine positive reviews through quality food and service. To top it off, when we went to pay, the server even admitted that the food wasn't great. We paid the menu price and went to another Indian restaurant in the city to had proper pani puri and samosa chaat. If the food had been good, we would have returned frequently but the experience was very disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and makes...
Read moreThought we'd give this a place a go since it was so close, and reviews seemed mostly good.
Did notice a free drink sign if you leave a 5 star review so think this explains why there are only 5 star and 1 star reviews. I'd say the 1 star are the authentic reviews.
Was really looking forward to some indian but straight away we were off to a bad start with fluff found on our samosa.
We ordered a lamb korma and butter chicken. It was luke warm and the few bits of lamb that were in there were really tough. The butter chicken was more tender but also very little meat. Both sauces were extremely runny, and the butter chicken honestly tasted like a can of tomato soup.
Cheesey garlic naan was edible but very bland and doughy, and if that's the flavoured naan, I'd hate to taste the plain one.
Honestly, the best part about the food was the rice. The location was great, but do yourself a favour and walk into woolworths next door and grab yourself a packet of Pataks butter chicken curry kit.
I'm sorry if my review seems harsh or offensive but people need to know the truth. If you are gonna charge so much you need to deliver on quality. We spent $85 on a dinner for 2, forced ourselves to eat it and for the first time in my life I wish I just put...
Read moreThe curry’s were nice I had butter chicken and the wife had the korma which she shared with our 2yr old daughter.
The time it took from when we arrived and sat down too getting our food served was a bit longer then expected at 40-60mins wait Although we were informed at the start that there was a little bit of a wait but didn’t expect that long. Inside was busy when we arrived but cleared out pretty quick by the time we got our food and there was a smallish group who were in front of us getting food first.
We started tucking into our curry’s and naan bread which had arrived and waited for our popadoms thinking they were coming but never arrived. The wife started however finding bones in her korma and they started adding up so we quickly checked our daughters thankfully nothing in there.
The waitress came too check on us and we mentioned the bones and missing food items which she was very apologetic about and said she would bring them out and be on the house which we said don’t worry as we’re going too leave shortly still bought them out anyways but told her too take them back as didn’t want them.
Come too pay and the other lady didn't seem fazed or care when I mentioned the bones or...
