Beverly careful when dining here! The only contact we had with wait staff was the lady at the counter who is not very welcoming. When we sat down she very quickly said scan the QR code and order through that. We told her it was our first time dining at the restaurant and she said ok and walked away. Finding the menu was very difficult and we had to ask a food runner how to do it. The menu was very un explanatory, it had pictures of what you were ordering but no size so if your ordering sides like vegetables to go with your meal, it gave no idea of the amount your ordering. My husband and I took our 2 kids and completely over ordered. It would have been nice to receive some help or advice from the staff being that we had never dined there before. When we finally got the bill, they had charged us for 12 x side sauces and there were 4 of us. The sauces were $3.50 each! Had we have known we were being charged for 12 sauces we would have used them! The sauces I’m talking about are the soy/sesame etc that you would normally see at a buffet that are either free or part of the meal. As we started to fill up, we asked the food runner to stop anything else from coming out as we had clearly over ordered and he didn’t understand what we were saying. When we went to the counter to pay for the meal I told the unfriendly lady that when she has people that are dining for the first time it would be good if she talked them through how the menu worked. All she said was “sorry about that”, “we are busy”. The bus boys clearing the tables had no idea about noise control. It felt like we were actually eating in the kitchen. I would not recommend going to this restaurant, very...
Read moreStarted with a few garnishes and sauces are empty. Took ages for the pot of soup to come out. No waiter come to top up soup and when asked them to take all the empties plates they simply said “just leave it as it is”. Then we ran out of facial tissue and asked them for a new box and waited ten minutes still nothing. Instead my wife went over the pile of facial tissue box and help herself which was just adjacent to our table. The last dish did not come out so my wife have asked them three times. So on the fourth time, my wife told them to cancel the last dish as we are pretty much finish and the soup is pretty much dried out. One of the waiter decided to serve us the last dish stating that it is a complimentary no charge. My wife told them that we do not need the last dish even though is complimentary as we already finish and leaving soonish. When we pay the bill, they told us to read the lcd screen to make sure everything is charge correctly , and I specifically told my wife to check carefully because of the last dish that meant to be cancel. It did not show on the LCD screen so we paid for the bill. Luckily when they asked us if we want the receipt and we said “yes”. The receipt actually shown we have paid for the last dish. We will never...

Neither of us had been to a dining experience like this so after a lot of questions to our server about how it all works, menu item descriptions (which they don’t have and is tricky when you’ve never had a hot pot before), and how to order.
They have an online ordering system via QR code at the table which doesn’t even have the complete menu item, hence the difficulty in knowing what to order.
Once we ordered and everything was brought out, that’s where the fun begins.
We had the four flavour hot pot, beef, chicken, prawns, pork, bok choy, corn, 2 types of noodles and seasonal vegetables.
The theatrics of cooking it yourself is good fun but after a while the novelty did wear off. I think if we knew what we were doing it would be a different story.
Regardless, the venue is gorgeous. The boots are intimate and spacious. The food was fresh and delicious - a lot of it too, and the staff were friendly and tolerant of our constant...
