My mum had seen this place while taking our dog to the beach along Biggera Waters, so we decided one morning to go in and have a look. I quickly gave the place a call to see if they were dog friendly and the lady picked up straight away and said that it’s fine! So we rocked up to this absolutely gorgeous little cafe, the place is so beautiful we couldn’t stop talking about how cute it was and it’s in the perfect location. As soon as we came in we were offered water for the dog from a very lovely man who brought a big bowl of water over straight away :) We were sitting next to this gorgeous little garden corner as well with a beautiful arrangement of plants and flowers! We had a look at the menu and there were so many yummy options to choose from, for just a little cafe they had quite a large range of food and drinks, I got the eggs benedict bagel (half size) and my mum just got some eggs and bacon and oh my god, best breakfast ever <3 When the lady, who was so friendly and attentive, brought out the food we had to take a photo straight away, normally I’m not someone to take photos of food haha but the presentation was absolutely stunning, and it tasted phenomenal, kudos to the chef! The coffee was also amazing! I think it was the lady who made them and she is obviously a pro barista who knows what she’s doing, perfect coffee for a perfect brekkie in the perfect spot :) Thank you so much L’Etranger crew for the lovely breakfast with my mum and pooch, I was having a bit of a bad day and you guys totally turned it around, can’t recommend this place highly enough and we will definitely be back, amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing location and atmosphere, and the service was so welcoming and friendly with the amazing staff! P.S. I loved the matching chicken salt and pepper shakers <3

Waiting to eat... so three stars so far. It's a great location, good range of food, menu is physically pretty as well 😃 Just across from the road from the beach (not a busy road) it's comfortable and has outside seating. ... love to know why the owner/s named it after Camus' book. Update. Food is great. Portion control (and this is often a negative word and concept) is perfect. Half size is just as it should be... slightly bigger than half. Food is delicious. I had avacado on sour dough with mushrooms. Very clean, unencumbered taste. Waitess is very efficient. Brought out my breakfast and recited it to me and then said "They've forgotten your egg" and went straight back. Didn't even get to notice it myself. That's something to commendu. How can you complain about it happening in the first place? We all make mistakes and if I worked in a kitchen I'd resign by lunchtime....or be sacked. Kudos to them all.

This is a great neighbourhood cafe where you can have a fantastic coffee on the deck with a view of the Broadwater and a cool sea breeze even in the summertime. The food offerings are basic Cafe and although a French name, definitely do not offer any French meals other than a good ole Croissant. However, put that aside, this cafe has amazing fresh juices, smoothies, and scrumptious all-day breakfasts. It's a casual and laid-back place to enjoy Sunday brunch with friends or family. The service is always warm and friendly, and suggestions are always helpful. Their potato cheese balls are a fun twist for a breakfast item, and I really enjoy them. The fish, calamari, and chips, however, leave less to be desired, although the chips are phenomenal. Highly recommend as it's a nice quiet spot that is really local and moderately priced

Initial contact was lukewarm as a 7 person breakfast walk-in. Ordered 4 drinks while awaiting the other party members and proffered a tip for honesty having inadvertently handed over 2 large denomination notes instead of one. Rest of party arrived 10 mins later, ordered drinks and received theirs before any of ours were served which eventually happened after 2 more requests, one at a time over the next 10 minutes including the soft drink which was last AND had to be requested yet again. We probably could have done without the eye rolling by wait staff šŸ˜ (please note: they were not busy and there were vacant tables) As one would imagine, it could only get better from this point and when the food finally arrived it was well presented, sufficient in quantity and all round delicious. I’m sure it’s a great little place, but first impressions, attitudes and needing to instigate multiple requests sadly mean I must rate it below average. A little staff training may go a long way. One day, we may just...
