It was a Very Hot day and we were most grateful for the air-conditioning. The staff were friendly and our food was brought to our table in good time.
However... the Noise Pollution was close to unbearable... despite being seated as far as possible from the kitchen area. I asked the waitress who brought our order out if she woke in the middle of the night with the beep, beep, beeps and the da, beep, da's and all the various permutations of alarm sounds ringing in her ears! She Didn't say No! I felt sorry for the staff as well as ourselves... it MUST be a Health Hazard!! Mc Donalds... you MUST address this issue. It must surely cause people to Tune Out. We observed several staff members standing around, waiting for someone else to attend to the wretched things... but I'm sure that they were simply Tuned Out.
Two more points: 1. My Big Mac had so Much sauce and so Little Lettuce that the buns had no grip on the meat patty. I ended up with sauce all over the table and guess what... there were No Serviettes to mop it up with or clean my hands with. Ridiculous! And... 2. The place, while looking to be near new, was littered with left-over trash and rubbish. While I normally put my rubbish in the bin, I left it all on the table as a protest and to draw attention to the fact that the whole place needed to be tidied!
What to take out from this experience??? Well, the alarms need to be turned well down, the staff re-trained to respond to them or simply get rid of them. Less sauce, more lettuce, napkins supplied with the orders and clean the place up more often... especially when it's not busy.
I hope McDonalds take note of my criticism... the old adage of 'Less Is More' comes to mind... except for the Serviettes of course!!!
For myself, I'll allow some time for improvement... but, in the same way I changed from being a Channel 9 viewer, and I stopped buying Made in China, I note there are alternative Fast Food Chains too! The Ball's in your Court McDonalds!!! It only takes Three Weeks to Break a Habit!!!
Cheers... Chris Mathers,...
Read moreNot sure if this particular McDonald’s franchise was recently taken over by new owners or new management implemented, but this Siganto Drive Maccas has sunk so low in terms of food quality, customer service and overall hygiene practices in the last 12 months. Over the years, we would always visit this particular McDonald’s restaurant across from #MovieWorld# as the quality was always the best in terms of food & service in comparison to other local Maccas within the area, however, today’s meal received by drive-through combined with previous recent visits, has simply put the nail in the coffin. At approximately 8am today, we ordered two sausages & egg McMuffin meals with chips & nuggets and were advised to wait in the “waiting bay”. After 5mins or so, we received our meals and unfortunately only noticed when arriving home 10mins later , that our large fries were ice cold, stale & practically hard, burgers were also cold & deconstructed within their wrapping and coffees were watered down (the cappuccino tasted like a watered down flat white). It seems , that rather than making a fresh batch of French fries (which one would expect in the morning service) the team handed over whatever stale chips were left at the bottom of the tray. To whoever owns this franchise in Siganto Drive - PLEASE read ALL the bad reviews posted in Google -particularly in the last 12months - and do something about it before the QLD Food Safety Regulators...
Read moreIf I could give it 0 stars I could. *FOOD POISONING 17th of March 2024 2024 on Sunday night after work, I decided I’ll just drive up to the closest Maccas which is Siganto drive because I work near them . I got to the drive threw. I then waited about a minute before someone served me which I was fine with. I ordered a large Big Mac meal with fries and a coke no sugar and a quarter pounder by itself. I got home and I ate it. Tasted normally how it does. After eating those I waited about half an hour for my stomach to settle down and then went to sleep. Next thing I know I wake up at 4:05am. Needing to go toilet only to spend about 20 mins vomiting up the food from this store. As it was the last thing I ate on Sunday. I thought to myself yep this is definitely food poisoning, which means I had to call out of work otherwise if I went without telling anyone I would’ve cross contaminate the food which I didn’t want to do because I know what it is like to get food poisoning from a fast food place. I will definitely be going in and asking to speak to their store manager! This is not ok. Cross contamination and getting people sick with food poisoning is not ok. I bet there was other people who have ended up with food poisoning from this store. Absolutely disgusting and not ok in the hospitality...
