Just went to the Roosevelt Lounge to see the comedy night. Wonderful night, the Comics were great, some were hit and miss but over all fantastic…. Very funny and enjoyed the night. Now the food was great for the price and very sumptuous. The ambience of the area is amazing. Now the problem. For the price of drinks the service is appalling. The area is understaffed, they have no idea what they are doing. I watched people taking wrong meals to the wrong table. We had to hale the staff to get a drink, and also the lovely lady that served us picked and pulled and touched her hair 38 times, then what she pulled out flicked on the floor. When I spoke to them, they were offended by me saying something. lol. Seems people on the Gold Coast have not changed. I’m the customer. Now if you are going to spend $625 for a bottle of wine, which I did not, service is important. Cheaper Dom at Dan Myrphy’s and you get better service. Equality. The bartender( a female) had a few words to me when I voiced my opinion . Please I am paying the bill and your wage, so please pull your head in. Again please to the managers, train your staff if you think you are in a high class lounge bar. If not, please drop your prices and open the door to the bar next where all...
Read moreAtrocious service which is a shame as the drinks were delicious. Doorman lectured me for not confirming the booking, the booking we had made under an hour before at the sister venue next door without being advised we would need to confirm the booking, unsure of his name but he was a Miami vice pony tail looking guy, the man bun maître D equally had some kind of chip on his shoulder my friends arrived shortly after and waited patiently at the door as the sign suggests however they weren’t noticed so came in anyway as we were seated at a close table to the door and they could see me. That MD walked them back to show them the sign as if they couldn’t read which is belittling and unnecessary. Both of those gents are definitely not a asset to the business and are doing real damage. DJ playing sax sat next to us and was very friendly redeemed the night somewhat. My advice, stay away go somewhere where they don’t treat the customer...
Read moreI recently had my 25th surprise birthday here. The venue is incredible! The music was great and the food fantastic. The only thing lacking with this establishment, was the service. My partner had booked the "president" suite at the top. Throughout the night we probably asked the waitress and barman where our drinks were 3-4 times. The service was incredibly slow. Two random drinks were delivered to our table and when we told them we didn't order them, the barman replied with "well they're on your bill so you may as well have them". Our friend told him that none of us drink those drinks which then he understood after we had to explain ourselves for the second time. We spent a lot of money at the Roosevelt only to feel quite disappointed. I am giving the 3 stars, 1 for the venue 1 of the food and 1 for the music. Needs...
