BEST AUTHENTIC THAI ON THE GC

Without a shadow of a doubt... this is the only Thai restaurant that makes authentic Thai foods such as Laabmoo and Somtam...to an original family recipe.

Long and far have I travelled to find Thai food as good as this on the Gold Coast.. loved by locals and tourists alike... the service is extremely efficient friendly and delivered with a genuine smile ... after all... Thailand is the land of a thousand smiles.

Extremely well priced and exceptional value for money with a quality fitout and open kitchen showcasing the culinary skills of the chef and sous staff alike... dishes are served piping hot and cooked to the level of spice you desire.

They have an excellent online table booking service and I suggest a table just inside with an eastern view over the spectacular Broadwater..

They also showcase an exciting lunch special menu well under 15 dollars with a more than sufficient serving size for the largest appetite.

Some suggestions would be the crab omelette.. Panang chicken curry.. Chillie tamarind and garlic barramundi.. tom yum prawns...actually....everything on the menu.

To get a true taste of Thailand... try the Laabmoo and Somtam...

I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough... no need for a free drink for my review... just keep up the good work and looking forward to sampling your gastronomic...

I found the food to be lovely and fairly priced. I have eaten a lot of Thai food over the past 30 years, both in Australia and especially on numerous trips to Thailand. I feel I am able to comment fairly on the restaurant. Yes the food was lovely and the staff friendly to me but I do have some mention that I feel is not coincidence. The next morning I had the runs, immediately I though the Thai food but there was no prawn or fish I found suspect, if anything they tasted very fresh and I did not have noodle or rice. So I went back a couple of days later and ate prawns different style and snapper fish fillet the same as before, again no noodle or rice. Next morning stuck on the toilet again. I assume this is more than coincidence and can only be some form of cross contamination or outdated sauce being used in the process. Bottled sauces are easily missed by most in kitchens and for you all at home. Have a read, most say using within X amount of days after opening and keep refrigerated. My days of cooking most sauces were left on the bench by chefs for weeks on end in a hot kitchen. I never had any tummy issues for the 2 weeks I spent on the Gold Coast other than when I ate at this establishment. Would I go back? yes and if I ended up on the toilet again it would be my last visit for sure to...

Ordered takeaway via the website. Generic 45min wait time no matter what time you order. Regardless we arrived at the time it stated and soon realised that the food has obviously been sitting for some time. It was not cold by any means but it wasn't piping hot that it should be in those clear takeaway containers.

3 X orders of Chicken Pad Thai at $20 each..as you can see from the photos the lack of chicken (if any) is evident how much they are ripping off their customers. 2 out of 5 stars. Lacking flavour and lack of meat.

Curry puffs 4 out of 5 stars. Fluffy and full of flavour. Loved them. Just a bit smaller than normal Thai restaurants I've experienced.

Thai fish cakes 3.5 out of 5 stars. Little rubbery but could be because I had to reheat in the microwave. Good chilli flavours overall not bad. Bit small again in size.

Unsure what the rest of the reviews are based on? Possibly tourists or people that have not experienced many Thai...

Nice place with good food and friendly staff. There are seats on the terrace and nice landscapes on the wall. Lovely place. They were busy even though we went for lunch on a weekday. But they served very quickly. We ordered green curry, pad see eaw, and mixed entree. I don't exactly know the difference from a normal menu though they have a lunchtime special which you can choose from a specific menu (curry, stir-fries, noodles…) Maybe the serving size. We had green curry as the regular menu and pad see eaw as a lunchtime special. Also, we had deep-fried ice cream at the last. It was big so we should have shared one with the two of us but too tasty that we finished one each even though we were already full. I would like to try Massaman Beef next which many people leave good reviews.
