I have been going to this subway for over 10 years and over the last 2-3 years, the customer service has become appalling. We have started driving further to go to the Hope Island store because we have issues every single time we visit Helensvale. This has included online ordering where I drove to collect it, got home and found it was the wrong order. I called and they said ‘yep, your order sitting here’. I drove back and said I was disappointed that my order would now be cold and soggy and the lady rolled her eyes and said ‘sorry about that’ with attitude. Another time I went to go through drive through at about 1pm and was told they had run out of supplies so they were closing the store for 20 mins to restock. Today I visited at a quiet time of the day and was the only customer inside the shop. It took 5 mins to be acknowledged, then the man got my bread out and another man came along and tried to make the drive though orders on it! The quality of the sandwich making and even wrapping is terrible. It’s so poorly wrapped that I have to make sure it doesn’t slide out when carrying to the car! Read moreWhen we went in the shop and stood at the counter we found the 2 of us were standing in a very large puddle of water which we mentioned to the boy serving. He didn’t seem interested and said it would be coming from the glass case window covering the food. I said someone could have a bad accident on the slippery wet floor CC to which he said he had told the boss about it earlier in the morning. I said you wouldn’t want an accident to which he grabbed a yellow floor sign and put over the water.. he then asked what sub I wanted and I said MBT Italian to which he said what meat do you want on it. I assume by this question that there is a choice so I said what meat can I have. He went through the meats and I choose Ham, Turkey, and Ham as I could have 3 meats.he totalled my bill and it was $5 more than I expected to I queried him and he said the double ham. Really, over $5 for a slice of ham when he was asking me what I wanted. I pointed out the sign said otherwise . $19 for a sub is rediculas, especially when he was leading me on without telling me what it would cost. I assumed the signs where to be believed but...

Soon after we started ordering it became apparent that we were standing in a giant puddle of water, but when we told the staff we were surprised to find they were actually fully aware of it. Weirdly casual about it and blamed the boss for not cleaning it up. My mother is over 70 years old and this is the type of scenario where a business can really suffer financially while risking the life of their customers. Not a good look. He struggled to hear us, struggled to make the sandwich, struggled to remember what we said at each stage, then struggled to punch in the order at the register and struggled with the eftpos too.. low and behold I hop in the car and realise the man can't even wrap a sandwich up in paper securely and its falling out all over the place. It's kinda hopeless to the point of being really, really, really sad. I don't know what goes on in the training programme at this shop but it seems they need a lot more help or perhaps these people have given up on life and should...
