Read moreI won a $50 gift certificate to eat at Tandoori Place and was looking forward to using it. My husband and I decided to do take away with it. First we were unable to order online with it, then when my husband called the restaurant to put in our order, he was hung up on twice before he got to put the order through. We were restricted on what we could order, which shouldn't be the case, as it wasn't a discount voucher, it should be treated like cash. Then we were told it would take 30 min to cook. I got there at 25 min and waited at the front for a min before I rang the bell on the desk. A couple walked in after me... when the girl came to the front to meet me and I said that I was here to pick up the take away, she simply said ok and then helped the people behind me. She never came back, so I waited some more and then the manager came up. I had been waiting at the front for around 10 min. And my food had been behind the desk the whole time! Finally he helped me, charged me for the remaining amount and when I asked for the receipt he wouldn't give it to me as I paid most of it with a voucher... So by the time I got my food it was cool as if it had been sitting there for awhile before it even got into my hands. The food was tasty (I will say that), but the experience and the service was terrible. I highly recommend to go somewhere else for your take away indian. I had never been before and they had an opportunity to gain another regular customer.. They failed, I will...
Read moreMetal String in Food - Shocking and Dangerous
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and concern about a recent order from Tandoori Place. While enjoying my meal, I encountered a metal string that became lodged in my throat. This was a terrifying and painful experience that could have had far more serious consequences.
I understand that these situations are rare, but the presence of a foreign object in food is completely unacceptable. It is a clear breach of food safety standards. I am aware that the restaurant might deny responsibility, but I believe it's essential to highlight this serious issue.
To verify my order, I can provide the Uber order number and the name of the delivery driver, Murg do piyaza and mallai kofta. I hope this information can be used to investigate the matter further.
I urge Tandoori Place to take this incident seriously and implement stricter quality control measures. The health and safety of customers should be the top priority.
I will be sharing my experience on other platforms to warn others about this...
