ONE THE ESPLANADE — Hotel in Gold Coast City

We booked via booking dot com few months back. Unfortunately we have to cancel our trip to Australia from New Zealand due to family medical emergency 10 days before arrival. I tried making contact numerous times via secure booking dot coma email, calling them on phone and leaving message, even booking dot com customer services tried contacting them numerous times and i got message from them that there is no reply from them. The booking was cancelled well in advance during peak school holidays time when demand for apartment is very high ie end Sep/early Oct24. It is unfortunate that this business will not reply back once you have paid in advance despite offering them I can provide a NZ Govt hospital letter to state emergency condition. Be aware before booking. Forget about any refund. This businss is very very inconsiderate on customer services. hile other 4 accomodiation providers in the Gold coast, Sunshine coast, Brisbane gave full refund credits considering our circumstances including Australian airline Jetstar and Airport car rental company. ........................................... The views were exceptional from this property and its location is in the heart of Surfers. The pool and easy access to the beach were exactly as stated and the additional free parking for our people mover was fabulous.

The Managers were very attentive and only too happy to assist with all our needs and even made last minute arrangements for one of our sons to stay one night on a blow up which they stated is not what they would normally allow. For this we were extremely grateful and would rate these attributes and the service a solid 5.

However, we booked a superior unit and in our opinion it did not meet our expectations.

The apartment was average. Worn amenities and absolutely void of most complimentary items aside from the very basics that we have become use to in other apartments we have used in Surfers Paradise.

On departing we always strip beds for the cleaner this really showed how unclean the apartment was stained beds and protective coverings left by previous occupants it was extremely dissapointing.

I would not recommend these apartments for adult families. The second room definitely was not big enough to comfortably accommodate two well built young men and the roll away bed used for my daughter in the lounge was extremely uncomfortable.

After seeing the high ratings and the pics of this place, I thought try this place out. ||I booked two bedroom apartment for a week and I couldn't believe there was only one old air-con for the whole place. This thing was struggling to cool down the place.||They had fans in the bedrooms and the beds in both rooms were that uncomfortable. The double bed had was very hard with a dip in the middle. After the third night, my wife and I decided to sleep in the second room which had two single beds, the beds were also hard and the pillows were very uncomfortable. ||After the sixth night my back was killing me. My wife started to feel like she was getting bitten by something while she slept. Most probably from dust mites. At this point I decided to leave a day earlier as I couldn't stay here any longer. ||The views of the beach was the only thing that was good at this place. The kitchen was old, with old utensils.
