Vinnie's Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Ordered uber eats from Vinnie's, me and my partner have never tried Vinnie's even though we have been local for over 20 yrs. We thought we would spoil ourselves and try something new. Often we drive past Vinnie's and see the place full so we already had high expectations. We ordered the chicken Al Fungi with a side salad and a small margarita pizza to share just to try. The salad was drowned in oil, with no flavour, then my partner starts pulling a long hair out that's wrapped around a piece of chicken. We both stopped eating naturally, cringe!! It's the last thing you want after a long night at work, you pay for a nice meal... And there is a disgusting hair slithering through it. The pizza was floppy and very average in taste. I called the restaurant to complain, the lady who answered was uneducated when dealing with customer complaints. She argued with me about what hair colour the uber driver had, then gave me no resolution apart from to report the uber driver, which had different coloured hair to the hair found. We made a delivery order which arrived 15-20mins after the designated time, after we gave about 1hr notice.

The pasta we ordered was a 'large' but they only filled a regular plastic container (not the large, deep ones) so that was a rip off. We asked for no mushrooms but they also took out the shallots - it was just pasta, chicken and a creamy sauce. I thought it tasted good - the wife, not so much. Serving serving size should not be classed as 'large'.

Also ordered bruschetta. It came in s foam container instead of cardboard so, while the taste was great, it was really soggy.

Overall, I couldn't recommend them based on a delivery. The price / portion ratio (we paid a little over $31 for entrée and main, delivered, with a 15% discount for first order - this essentially made delivery free) was terrible for the main, and the entrée was soggy upon arrival. The saving point was that the taste was still quite good, in my opinion. I would recommend against delivery, but would say that it might be worth considering eating at the restaurant itself to ensure it's fresh from...

First time customer very happy with my experience. I have experience with both fine dining and budget on the run meals. I ordered a delivery medium rare steak with salad and a small fettuccine cabonara. Let me first mention that to expect an on premise dining quality meal through a delivery service is hard to achieve, almost impossible for any business. (Unless you order noodlebox or pizza hut) my steak arrived in a puddle of mushroom sauce, but who cares when I cut into it and its still cooked and arrived to me as ordered medium rare, my carbonara delicious. I dont care that my salad was along side my steak it was a salad and tasted delicious. The young lady who took my order was professional and friendly. So my advice for delivery customers perhaps cut out the 'middle man' service companies that deliver and call the restaurant directly.
