Slim-figured female caucasian server on the counter, of fairly taller height than the other one, CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Acting weird and strange, repeatedly kept on looking cautiously at the customer who was waiting from one of the tables as server prepared the order. As if she was doing something out of the ordinary that nobody must see, trying to cover what she was doing by obviously trying to position her back to the direction of the customer. Then gave quick looks to the other Caucasian (shorter girl) staff.
Being caucasian is indicated here as not to possibly confuse with other staff, IF ever there are other staff in that establishment who may look differently from this one.
Then it appeared that this establishment did not have hygiene standards in place when it comes to serving straws like other shops are doing nowadays, as that female server picked with her ungloved hand the straw that was to be used for the customer's order. The customer then asked to have a new straw, expecting the server on the counter to pick the straw in another safer way, with a kitchen tong perhaps? But NO, this server picked a 2nd straw by herself with her unwashed hands again!
This, added to the strange behaviour of the server while preparing the order, made the customer UNCOMFORTABLE. So customer placed the order back on the counter untouched before leaving. Both female servers saw that the purchased order was being left by the customer before consuming it but did not even ask the customer WHY - IF that server indeed did everything per establishment's standard, should naturally be wondering why a customer was giving the ordered drink back by leaving it on their counter. But NO, both servers just looked at the returned untouched cup and had the look on their faces like it's nothing they have not seen before.
No other customers were present in all these times from the beginning of purchase to returning the purchase. The two staff are not busy at all.
Customer waited for a minute before leaving for any one of them, especially the server, to say anything - IF indeed a customer returning an untouched purchase on the counter was something unusual, but neither said anything. I guess that's usual for them, then! I hope they or SHE enjoyed that large cup.

Read moreWow it is so sad to see just how down hill this cafe has gone. The owners need to get their business together or just throw in the towel and find someone else who is actually willing to run a cafe. There are a lot of customers majority being elderly that spend their money here for cold coffee in takeaway cups, cabinet food that is old and stale, cakes and slices that were baked weeks ago, a full menu on display but not available because there is always “problems with the grill” so “take away only” How is this acceptable and how have they not been shut down. The owners have employed young staff which is cool, love that but honey give them a training day or two. You can’t throw fresh employees out to the wolves and then leave them alone expecting them to run a cafe for you, all they do is chat and giggle when they are left alone and occasionally serve customers if they feel like it. Don’t waste your money here go to tap a grind, muffin break or...
Read moreThe tables were dirty which no one bothered to wipe down, they had forgotten to put my order in to be done so I had waited 20 mins for nothing, another staff member came over to ask if I was waiting on a coffee even though I was drinking one at the time and the poor seniors behind me had to pack up the mess on their table and take them back to the counter. My lunch was ok but then what could go wrong with a toasted roll. Wrong place, wrong time. Just a tip.. your young staff need to check their customer service levels or maybe employ more mature people with work ethics....
