I went to this new PapaRIch restaurant as I have previously had good experiences. However, I was left horrified with the food and service. I am vegetarian and told the girl at the counter 3 TIMES that I do not eat eggs and onion and she said ok yes. I told her to WRITE IT DOWN and and let the chef know, which she said ok. However, when the food was served, a half egg was on the plate! To make matters worse, they also had FRIED EGG and onion in the fried noodles as well! Can you imagine the harm this could have caused if someone was anaphylaxis to eggs and they serve this, they would be immediately in hospital!
Furthermore, when I saw the customers next to our table order the same dish, it was served with a papadam then I realised that mine did no come with it. I asked the waiter lady and she said "oh sorry, your papadam broke and I didn't get you another one!" They charge $1.90 each papadam and they did not give it to me nor offered to refund, and said oh I can give you one, just when I was already finished my meals and the plates are all taken away! It is ridiculous.
I also noticed that the portion size of the vegetarian meals are significantly smaller than the non-vegetarian portion sizes.
Staff here needs training in customer skills and order taking. This PapaRich does not meet the standards of other PapaRIch I have been to and I will not return to this branch and will go to the Surfers one in the future. I wold...
Read moreThis perticlar store is right next to a Korean chicken shop. After waiting for a bit to be served,I was served by the girl from the Korean chicken shop. Few people were walking in and out of the kitchen but couldn't be bothered to serve. People from both Korean shop and this Malaysian shop was walking in and out of the kitchens. Not sure if it is owned and managed by the same people but looks very chaotic and confusing. And none of these stores were half full. Not sure what's the rush.
Their single tables are unpleasant and small. Specially after putting their big menu book and cutlery holder therr is not much room left.
Finally someone from this store served my food. The food presentation was excellent and very deceiving. It lifted mymood right up and dropped it when i tasted it. I had the hainanese chicken rice. It Looked excellent but tasted nothing more than a boiled chicken and steamed rice. Bland and Disappointing. Menu , store and food preparation is great. Terrible...
Read moreSave your money, the owner of the restaurant clearly doesn’t care about their business, I ordered an add on extra egg, not only it came late, it was cold and chewy like a rubber, I returned it to the counter and ask for another one, the waiter took it back to the kitchen. Minutes later it came back, same rubber egg now micro waved, if I was paying for an fried egg at least cook it fresh, I’m happy to show the cook how to fry one if don’t don’t know how. That’s the least a customer can ask for in a restaurant, if the customer wants a fresh fried egg that’s not too much to ask is it? Then there was the hokkien beef hor fun, the soy gravy was jello texture, clearly not fresh and the hor fun rice noodle was clogged up into a much, none of these dishes were freshly made. Go to Coles and get a microwave pack, it will probably taste...
