Today we visited McDonald's at Redcliffe via drive through. We sat in the car to eat as I easily contract viruses and, as my son has a birthday party this weekend, wanted to avoid the likelihood of becoming unwell. Unfortunately, my two year old then needed to use the restroom so, I reluctantly made my way inside. To my surprise, there was no soap dispenser in either male or female bathroom and, the disabled was locked. I made my way to the counter with toddler in tow and while several staff members saw me, it took several minutes before the Shift Manager reluctantly made her way over to me. I explained the situation and her explanation was that the soap dispensers were stolen last week. I understand that this is beyond McDonald's control however, in the interim there should be perhaps a pump soap or the like from Coles placed in the bathroom. I tried to explain my concerns but was immediately shut down and accused of being aggressive (there was another patron from Q Scan next door waiting for his order who can verify that I was at no point aggressive, I feel this was just a throw away line used to walk away). I tried once more to explain and ask for even some dish soap in a container only to have the Shift Manager walk off mid conversation. Naturally, this made me feel even more distressed and rather awful. I then stood there for about five minutes while she watched us and made coffee, all the while asking if she could help us and stop ignoring us. She just stood there, watching. Eventually, a young male employee came over to assist. I calmly explained the problem, he agreed when I said my daughter was bound to put her hands in her mouth and get sick, and he went and gave us some soap in a container which I've left in the bathroom for future use. All the while, the Shift Manager stared us down as we left the store after. Cold, rude, lacking in empathy and completly void of any customer service skills. This was never about the soap, it was about good customer service and the fact I was treated with so much contempt and disdain. I will be contacting the Store Manager and McDonalds Head Office for further guidance as this type of...
Read moreSorry ignore my old profile but anyway. I placed an online order in the drive-thru and straight away I am rudely greeted and rushed by the server - tells me to drive through right after I tell her my code even though I was still talking to add something on. I ask to add a code from the app deals and she tells me I am unable to do that, and I'm not familiar with Macca's so I didn't know I had to ask to make it a split order so instead I drive through. My friend is telling me to tell her make it a split order before I pay because apparently that's how you add in a code with an online. But already, I am hesitant because of the way she treated me at the speaker box - so my friend asks her instead and with a rude tone she replies "You should've done that at the speaker box", like personally I had no idea I had to ask?? She should've just advised me that I need to make it a split order instead of being lazy and telling me that I'm unable to have the code. From my own experience working in fast food as a manager as well, when customers want to have the same voucher they need to make it a split order but because I am a good and a knowledgeable employee I let them know simply like, "I just have to make that a split order as it's the same voucher, is that okay with you?" and problem fixed! But this employee at Redcliffe was incredibly rude and ignorant, I can't believe that there are those type of people working in fast food places. I've never experienced such horrible service before this, so it was just a complete shock especially since I work in fast-food and I was nice the entire time. So disappointed I didn't get her name either, but do better, that was just disgusting to be treated like that and I unfortunately am too scared to return back to this store due to this experience. Really hope this reaches the management team, shame to the lady that served me - I hope the rest of the team isn't as...
Read moreThe car who pulled in at the drive through after me was served first, and This is not the first time this has happened at this McDonald either. window servers attitude was disgraceful, she didn’t like it pointed out that she had served the other car first, or that the order was wrong, she huffed and puffed, then called the manager like it was my fault. I explained to the manager what the problem was, that I was a paying customer and didn’t deserve the entitled attitude from the cashier according to the manager this is beyond rude, and he would deal with the employee, I asked him how the truth was rude, he had no answers, just I was rude. I collected my order and left only to have to return because my coffee was lukewarm water and milk at best. No were near the caramel latte I ordered. Upon returning the barista whom I realised has been in the drive through with the server when the problems was being discussed was half hiding behind her coffee station and the manager offered no apologies, explanation or offer of refund. The manager was more interested in trying to be friends with the woman servers then running an efficient business. If these people don’t want to work they should be sacked, paying customers shouldn’t have to put up entitled, laziness from your staff because they couldn’t be bothered or don’t like being told they have done the...
