High Tea
🍮Dessert Part I just cannot express enough how much I loved the dessert this season. The Peanut Butter Parfait had distinct layers, and I was so glad I don't have a peanut allergy, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to taste this exquisite flavor. Chocolate bonbon was in Tasmanian Devil shape, which is cute. Although each item was excellent, what surprised me the most was actually the Fig Tea Cake. It looked plain at first glance, but once biting into the fig along with the tea cake, the entire mouthfeel was just elevated. It felt like fig seeds dancing on the cake, which 一口下去,背后写着“美味”的扇子开屏了🤣.
🥪Savories Part Lobster roll continues to impress on me consistently, holding its top spot on my list of favorite canapés in Deco Lounge, unshakable. Plus, it's already a rarity to enjoy lobster meat at this season. Jamón with manchego and piquillo, all served on hearty sourdough bread. Incredibly delicious Spanish ham with its rich, savory flavor and delicate texture that melted in my mouth. Japanese style egg sandwich, enhanced with creamy mayonnaise. Perfect combination of seasoned egg nestled between soft, fluffy bread slices. Mayo just enriched the flavor, creating a delightful creamy texture that complements the egg filling perfectly.
Lovely and warm service from Justin and Connie😉. Miranda loves the babyccino☕️ that Connie...

Crustless, good white bread and thinly sliced cucumber, lots of cracked black pepper. Cucumber must be peeled
Had a Mojito cocktail. Took them forever to make it. I reckon it had 3 ounces of white Bacardi in it. It would have pushed my BA well over 0.05
If the Tasman sees itself as Hobart's leading hotel it has to lift its game.
The service staff in the Deco Lounge were dilatory and took forever to take our order.

Read moreLoved our birthday high tea! The customer service was so gracious and complete. High Tea options were fun, interesting and delicious! Totally worth it. Scones served in a hot box were a quirky and thoughtful touch! My only suggestion is that we thought the scones would have been nicer as ‘mini’ sized. In any other circumstance a nice large fluffy scone is totally called for. But after A LOT of yummy morsels I would have preferred a tiny cute scone. Nothing major though. Oh and we loved the tea selections and tea pots...
