I was seriously in the mood for ramen 🍜 and found Bento on Google Maps. I walked in with high hopes 😄—the exterior looked nice and the interior design was actually pretty cool ✨.
But as soon as I stepped inside, I noticed the floor was really sticky 👣… like, every step felt like walking on soft glue. It gave the feeling that something was spilled and not cleaned properly 🧃🧽. Not a great first impression, to be honest. Tables weren’t too clean either, which added to the overall untidy vibe 😕.
Now, the ramen itself? Absolutely delicious 👏! I had the classic pork ramen and the broth was rich, flavorful, and comforting 🍖🥣. The pork was tender and well-seasoned—seriously, I finished the whole bowl and could’ve had more. Huge shout-out to the kitchen staff 👨🍳👏.
It’s just a bit disappointing that the dining area didn’t match the quality of the food. There seemed to be a few staff around, but the front of house really needs more attention to cleanliness 🧼🪣.
All in all, I’d definitely come back for the ramen—but I really hope they improve the overall hygiene. The food deserves a cleaner space...
Read moreThe food was okay. The service was terrible. I ordered two torched salmon rolls, but obviously the waitress in the counter didn't hear me. She pointed to the sushi and asked me impatiently and angrily, " this is salmon nigiri, this is salmon roll, which one do you want?!" When my ramen came, I found these was no egg on it. So I went to the counter and asked the waitress, the waitress seemed very impatient and asked what my table number is. And then she came to my table, stir my ramen to check. and then she went back to the kitchen and asked the people there, " are you missing xx table's egg?" It seemed that it was my fault. Not only she let me feel unwelcome, but also she made me feel scared. I feel sorry for those people who needs to...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Kurukuru and it was truly one of the best ramen experiences I've had. The portion size was generous, making it a great value, and every bite was packed with deep, rich flavor. The broth was perfectly balanced, and the noodles had that ideal texture—springy and satisfying.
The location is fantastic, easy to find and situated in a lovely area. The restaurant’s interior is warm and welcoming, with tasteful decor that adds to the overall experience without being overdone. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into both the food and the atmosphere.
If you're in Tasmania and craving authentic, flavorful ramen, Kurukuru is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming...
