Normally, I don’t like writing any review or comment, but this experience, i felt emotionally very unwelcome about the service. Of course, despite many quality products, the service was very disappointing, for me any way, today.

I bought chocolates as a gift. I saw (v) dark chocolate items were at the same box.

When I brought at the counter to pay, the staff said some thing not very nice, it sound like I’m an idiot who doesn’t know dark and milk chocolate.

Yes, I didn’t know which one was which, she did not have to show rudeness and arrogance, in stead helping and showing me what they were as there are thousands of them. There are many ways to provide nice things.

There are no kindness, and very unhelpful.

These chocolates were not for me so I just wanna make sure they were dairy free and gluten free.

Unfortunately, I don’t think I wanna come back even if I definitely know they don’t care anyway.

I wrote this is not because to make the shop look bad or any thing. I just wanna share my feelings and experiences about the shop...

My family and I visited Nutpatch last week returning to our car after the Taste of Tasmania. As this was our first visit here we were all amazed at the beautifully decorated chocolates and then Mr Zitto, the proprietor told us that he had made and designed nearly all the chocolates, we were just absolutely amazed at the beautiful design and variety. These are premium quality chocolates of the highest quality. Mr Zitto gave us a short history of how he started his expertise in quality chocolate. On returning home and trying the sweets I was just so impressed that now I know where I will be buying that something for a gift to special people but also to myself. I recommend with the highest confidence the Nutpatch Chocolate Shop situated at the Hobart wharves. A special Thanks to Mr Zitto for your information,...

Very disappointed with my recent experience. I’ve purchased from this place several times with no complaints. The chocolate is exceptional. Unfortunately it was a busy day and no help in the back - but this is still no reason to provide inadequate customer service. In the past I have been able to (with no problems or huffs or puffs) purchase chocolate and get them shipped for an additional $20 ish. They always arrived perfect and worth the shipping cost. I felt laughed at and worthless when I was given my chocolates for me to “do the rest”. This will be the last time I purchase from Nutpatch and will no longer be recommending to friends and family. Morale of the review - be nice and upfront if you do not offer a service anymore because it’s “too busy”...

On Franklin Wharf my eye did catch something about chocolate but I was always on the way to or from something, till my last day when my curiosity piqued. NutPatch is the store front for a chocolatier making a dazzling array of chocolates in the front display but to the side are even more impressive creations of objects which are made out of chocolate. I got 4 varieties from the display of the handmade bite size chocolates and they were delicious! - Raspberry cream - Chilli and dark chocolate - Mocha - Hazelnut spread like nutella @NutPatch_Chocolatiers #HobartFood #Chocolate #artisan #HandmadeChocolate #raspberrycream #chillidarkchocolate #Mocha #hazelnutcenter

The choclates we got from Nutpatch were so nice and the time that has been put into every piece that is hand made is just amazing. The time that they took to explain about the work they put into each and every choclate was very kind of them. They took the time to talk to our kids and the generosity they had to give our kids some broken samples was very kind of them. If your in the area of Salamanca markets it is a must. Purchase some of the chocolates they make as they are very nice. And the kids were so happy to take home to show their friends the chocolate ipads they had chosen before the eat. If in Hobart again we will be back to buy more.

Without first entering this place, it’s hard to gauge the nature of its existence! As my partner got excited for the big sign screaming “Chocolate”, I reluctantly walked to wards the Nut Patch, thinking “it’s just gonna be another chocolate shop…” boy, was I wrong! We were greeted by the Chocolatier, and explored all different kinds of chocolate, made right there in the shop! They had shelves upon shelves of custom chocolates you probably couldn’t find anywhere else. The chocolate itself was of course, delicious. How can you go wrong with chocolate? But it was the experience and awe we’ll remember the most!
