Best bakery/patisserie I’ve tried in Hobart. Can be pretty busy in the mornings but well worth it. Had the jalapeño and spring onion cream cheese bagel. Flavour and texture spot on. Very slight bit of heat coming from the jalapeño but the pickling and flavour of the jalapeños themselves was surprisingly dominant in a delicious way. Very generous with the cream cheese so quite filling. Excellent flavour of the bagel itself - it is a more doughy style of bagel which initially I was sceptical off but it totally works as there just so much flavour coming through and the base of the bagel has this delicious crunch with what looks like a heavy dusting of semolina or other grain. Also had the standard cream cheese bagel another day which was good but definitely not as good as the jalapeño one. Had the croissant and incredibly strong buttery flavour. Definitely above your usual quality. Almond croissant was fantastic although a touch dry by the end of the day. Companions had a baguette sandwich and the bread was perfection as were the fillings - french quality and standards that matched an authentic french style bakery that baked with imported french flours we adored in Melbourne. Also had pain au raisin, morning bun and some sort of cherry filled enriched dough item - all were incredible. Melt in your mouth, sticky caramelised textures, excellent dark colouring and lots of flavour. Coffee perfect. Their sandwiches and breads looks amazing - cannot wait to try them! Doughnut was good but surprisingly nothing remarkable - their bread and pastries are definitely the best items.

Popular bakery in the middle of the city. Lined up first thing in the morning for breakfast. Staff were friendly and got through orders pretty quickly. I got myself a double shot piccolo coffee, a ham bagel and an almond croissant. The coffee was alright, a little watery for my liking but had a strong taste to it. The ham bagel was a bit disappointing, the dough was a bit tough and chewy, the thing that saved it was the pickles. The almond croissant was the best thing I got, it was still warm when I had it and was really delicious. A little too sweet for my liking but not to take away how good it was. For anyone looking to get breakfast for cheap, this is not the place for you. The three items cost $19.50. please look at the price and not think with your stomach like me! Overall, a good breakfast. I love how they serve your coffee through a hole in the wall after ordering, staying true to their name.

🥐 Hobart’s Croissant Quest: Mission Accomplished Heard this café’s croissants are the locals’ top pick in Hobart? Well, I had to see if the hype was real. Spoiler: it totally is. 😋 Located in the heart of the city, this place is buzzing with energy. There’s limited seating, so picture this: people lining up outside, sipping coffee and munching on croissants like it’s a casual street party. 🏙️☕🥐 Lucky for me, I snagged a seat inside. The café’s modern white building with floor-to-ceiling windows gives off major art gallery vibes. 🎨✨ The staff? Super friendly and efficient. Despite the rush, they kept the good vibes flowing. And the coffee? Top-notch. ☕👌 No wonder this spot’s become a must-visit for Hobart’s coffee and pastry lovers. If you’re in town, don’t miss out. Your taste buds will thank you. 😄 #HobartEats #CroissantGoals #CoffeeCulture #TasmanianDelights #CafeVibes #MustTry #FoodieAdventure

Taste of food ruined by one staff's treatment to me (Asian appearence). I've lived in Hobart for over ten years and I've always liked pigeon wholes bake goods, although I don't always personally go to this store. Today I was running an errand at the hospital early in the morning and decided to get some food for breakie and a treat for my partner from the store, when I mentioned to the hospital staff about going she told me today the store is giving out free mini crossaints to the first 300 customers. I checked their FB and saw the announcement was exactly that, just first 300 customers through the door. It wasn't my intention to go for the free food but I thought lucky me. When I entered the store, it wasn't super busy, there were two groups of customers in front of me, a guy and a couple. The middle aged male staff holding a tray of a few dozen mini crossaints offered them to the first guy in the line (without the guy prompting, the customer was actually not looking at him and he particularly called out Sir to grab the customers attention), then after getting my food, on my way out, the couple was right in front of me and got the crossaints while the staff was holding the door for them. When it was my turn to exit, I stopped for two seconds in front of the staff, holding my two pastries, and looked at the tray then him, we made eye contacts and he said nothing and offered nothing. So I walked out, no effort was made by him to stop me to offer either. I felt so disappointed at this behaviour. I'm not crying over free food, I don't need the free food and it wasn't my intention anyways, but the different treatment was utterly embarrassing. I will not try to guess the intention of this staff to treat me differently, but I would only say that I'm the only Asian face in that shop and I was treated differently. So disappointingly, you've ruined my day, and food can't taste great after that experience. Not again pigeon whole, and likely not the rest of my family or friend group, Asian or not.

Edit: The owner wrote a huge paragraph to distract from the topic (I do not see the connection between hiring migrant employees and treatment of migrant customers) and to gaslight me - I gain nothing from simply telling the truth of what happened to me, again, I did not speculate your intention. Yet not a single explanation was given about why I was treated differently. So no I do not wish to further discuss this with you privately, I think people see the review should be able to tell where...

Struggled to find a park nearby on a Thursday midmorning. While trying to order we were rushed to decide by the staff even though the store was pretty quiet. We ordered some prosciutto ficelle, but weren't overwhelmed by how it tasted - it had quite a lot of salty flavours and not much else (wouldn't recommend). Ordered a flat white and attempted to order an ice latte with lactose free milk and vanilla syrup, but they didn't have either so had to settle for oat milk. The flat whites flavour was underwhelming - and, having had the same bean elsewhere where it has been delicious, this was disappointing - and the ice latte came with one ice cube and we noticed that it sat for about five minutes before it was served so the single cube was well underway the melting process. Also didn't particular enjoy the ice lattes flavour but this is likely because oat milk wouldn't be our first choice. Was overall very disappointed with the experience at this café, especially as we had been excited to try it after seeing all the positive reviews on social media. Left feeling like we needed to go have something else to...
